[INTRO]
We're adding a specific set of about 30 hats to Apocalypse Rising.
Whoa, what? You didn't expect me to start with the best part of the post that quick did you? Alright, I'll calm down.
While we've been grinding through the development of the Apocalypse Games, Roblox has been releasing a lot of juicy features that we have recently decided to take advantage of. When we utilize some of those features, we're going to add some new content to Apocalypse Rising - which will in turn affect the Apocalypse Games.
[HATS IN APOCALYPSE RISING]
First and foremost, we will be implementing two new slots to the inventory - an "Accessory Slot" and a "Hat Slot", as well as about 30 accessory and hat items. The player will be allowed to wear one hat, and one accessory. And believe me, the hats we've picked out go great together.

We've selected three hats that will be offered via an exclusive game pass, and we already have plans to make a "Military Hats" pass that will allow you eager players to spawn with some of the cooler hats that will be available. Other than the three exclusive hats, everything will be found naturally spawning in Apocalypse Rising as items. "But what about the hero headband, and the bandit bandana?" Ah yes, about those...
[HEROES, BANDITS, AND SURVIVORS]
Because we're implementing loot-able hats, the bandit bandana and hero headband will be removed as "rewards" for earning the corresponding game badge. We believe that players should not be marked for their behavior in-game. Bandits should earn that title on their own, not because they have a bandana. And because we don't want players to be marked in-game, heroes will no longer be able to identify and kill bandits.
We are REMOVING the HERO BADGES, and IN-GAME STATUS (headband/bandana) from Apocalypse Rising. After we release this update, the HERO, SAVIOR, and GUARDIAN badges will be removed. To replace the Hero line of badges, we will be adding two new "Survivor" and "Bandit" badges, each. We will also be modifying the current requirements to earn those badges as well.
We understand that the Hero badges were essentially just difficult to earn, which made them appealing. This is why we're modifying the current badge requirements, and adding four new badges. Currently, we're planning for the top "Bandit" badge to require 70 player kills, and 30 days survived. I hope that's intense enough for you. As for the Apocalypse Rising Community, the player ranks will be re-orderd to fit with these four new badges, as well as the removal of the Hero badges.
[DATA PERSISTENCE]
This update will also utilize Roblox's new and improve "Data Store" feature. Under this new method of storing player data, we will have more control over what can be saved. Data will also be reportedly more secure - losing connection shouldn't set you back any more! Glitches involving broken inventory slots, and corrupted items should be much less common as well. All good news.
[CONCLUSION]
Apocalypse Rising will receive loot-able hats, new game passes, and new badges. We will also be removing the "Hero" badges, as well as the in-game hats related to the badges. Data persistence will be improved, and data loss will be much less likely as a result.
As far as whether all of these changes will be released in one update, or trickled out over time, I cannot say. I also have no idea when these changes will be implemented, or in what order. Yeah I know right, we're so bad at dates. All I can say is keep an eye out for updates on the development of the Apocalypse Games, as well as these Apocalypse Rising additions. To the future!

| Gusmanak, I'd prefer to have the military hats loking similar to Robloxian Military [RM]'s Soldier hats. They seem more suitable and will satisfy the audience. |

Gus, there's no need for that ridiculous amount of player kills for the top bandit badge. That will ruin the game. People will camp in spawn points and just kill newspawns without even having to worry, and the days survived thing can be tricked by simply entering a server and wait when it gets to 6.
Other than that, the hats and accessories seem cool. |

I'm all for the harder bandit qualifications.
But in reality, people already complain about bandits; do you think adding 70 kills as the requirement will help these people. I mean, sure don't remove bandit; but I think some players are just going to go haywire.
I also think removing hats is 100% encouraging pvp (bandanna, headband), so people that just want to survive will leave. You are basically saying you should kill everyone. |

I kind of like losing connection so when I died I could get my stuff back instead of finding it! :D But I do LOVE this update though! Keep up the work Gus!

| What I want to happen to Apocalypse Rising is for the map to get updated. For there to be new citys in the map and for there to be more area for players to explore. |

| You have to have some sort of reward for being a hero on this game, I got a hero headband many times and it really wasn't too hard, and what you could do is bring back bandanna and headband but make the humanity system like dayz mods humanity system so that its easier to be hero |
