I had this idea for Kestrel; we could have a reality show called "Pursuing Power" (this is just a working title, it can change any moment). I got the inspiration of the show from 'Chopped', believe it or not.
SUMMARY: Five supervisors with the most votes are reaped, to compete in this reality show. Then, they battle to the death (not literally, of course! XD). They are judged by four people (DrReli - President, EBear917 - Vice President, MissBritain - CEO, Gidein - CEO), so that we are sure that the best one wins. The best supervisor becomes SM, and the other Supervisors keep their rank.
VOTING PROCESS: The voting process starts with all high ranks (excluding SM and BoD) recommending one Supervisor. Those Supervisors recommended will be put on a poll, and other Kestrelians can vote on the the five Supervisors. The five supervisors with the most votes advance to the real competition.
COMPETITION: The five supervisors take their booths and begin the competition. The Supervisors are tested on four categories: 1. Training i) Four virtues/seven stations ii) Testing of the store iii) Customer Service iv) Knowing of the job description 2. Customer Service i) Grammar ii) Knowing how to deal with each type of customer 3. Understanding of store 4. General Attitude towards working and others i) Respect, no using ALL CAPS, no insulting ii) Friendly and enthusiastic attitude
PRIZE: The prize the Supervisor gets is a promotion to SM.
ELIMINATION: The four judges will evaluate each Supervisor on each category, on a 1-10 scale (1 being horrible, 10 being amazing) After one category, the judges choose one Supervisor to "P'wn", or eliminate. That Supervisor then can watch the rest of the competition, or leave the server.
PLACE, TIME: The competition will take place at a place, yet to be determined. The competition will take place every two months.
CONCLUSION: I think this will give a fun vibe to a promotion, I will certainly love to compete with other supervisors! :)

I think this is a great idea. You could even make it like The Voice and have the judges choose a supervisor to train, later on testing them on the skills needed to be a Senior Manager.

I've seen people's comments on the Kestrel group, and I want to explain why this competition is only for Supervisors. I only want this competition to be for Supervisors because the only way to get from Supervisor to SM right now is through recommendation. This is a good idea, but it allows many great Supervisors to get unnoticed. This competition's purpose is to get those unnoticed Supervisors, and let them know that they are noticed for their hard work. For Interns, Sales Associates and Customer Service Managers, they can always ask a SM+ to train them. And for those HRs, we can always do a "Pursuing Power: HRs EDITION", right? |

There's no need for this whole game-show, and it's funny that you're the rank you're at and the rank you want this game to be open to. A tad bias, and a tad far-fetched, so no thank you. There doesn't have to be this big spiel about a couple of promotions. I'd rather enjoy working for Kestrel as an Intern than care about people who were noticed for HR's and try and take their spot, don't you think? Some people work harder than others, and some people have friends in the HR region. Therefore, this isn't fair at all. This can easily be bias, depending on who's richer than the other person, so this would easily go downhill. Why not for all ranks? A ton of people go unnoticed as well, that's why I object for this to go into place. |

| @FaintSilhouette: I understand your concerns, and yes, this is a little biased, and others could recommend others just because that person is their friend, but I trust that the Chief Officers will be honest, and choose the people that TRULY deserve it. I will tweak this post to address your concerns. |

| Good idea but way to much work and time involved.Our leaders have more important things to do then waste time on this.When we can just experience reall effort by our employees and see fit there rank. |

There should be:
Pursuing Power: Original (Supervisors play for SM)
Pursuing Power: HR Edition (SM+ play for 1 rank above them, but have to be good at job, not just win and get it)
Pursuing Power: LR Edition (Intern - Customer Service Manager play for 1 rank up)
Pursuing Power: CUSTOMERS! (Customers play for being a noted customer or any rank up to Sales Associate. If Price Floors leave, the winner gets discount on clothes)
Pursuing Power: Power (All ranks can play, up to 3 people from each rank, and 5 customers) |

| I should've said this a long time ago: If you are not in the Kestrel group and you oppose, but still give a reason, your vote will not be counted. And it has to be a GOOD reason, like FaintSilhouette's. |
