I really wished they stuck to just a couple locations, I'd really hate to be in a much bigger crowd and have ROBLOX in one certain area than everywhere.

| Read almost every other ATR post, see if it's only what I want. |

>It's not what you want.
useful post of the week goes to you
it's about what users such as myself and bill want. I liked the intimacy of BLOXcon - as in we could meet and speak to staff, watch live Q&As and take part in competitions; that's basically gone now. |

| How can you judge an event when it hasn't even been announced for an entire day? After its done and over, sure, criticize it but not now. |

@arbirator
I attended last year's BLOXcon, and I agree 100%. Everything that was fun about BLOXcon has to go for their Maker Faire booths to work.
Unfortunately, it's not about the existing players. From what we've been told so far, it's obvious this is about advertising to potential ones. |

| Too much of their overall approach to the site is aimed at attracting new players and not focusing the same amount of attention to older users.I understand they are a business, and need to increase their number of customers through expanding their target market, but completely changing how they do real life events? UGH |

It isn't like we haven't changed how we've done real life events before.
BLOXcon has only been a thing for 1 year, we had a RGC and a ROBLOX Rally before BLXOcon, which all took on similar yet different formats. It isn't like we are breaking a long and multi-year tradition, and nobody has said we won't go back to doing BLOXcons.
The problem with BLOXcon is that after doing 3 cities in two countries, there really isn't much room to grow. We were travelling all summer long with fairly little downtime, so adding in more cities to that massive traveling show really wasn't an option this year, I don't think. Also, BLOXcon attendance would probably stay about the same, as BLOXcon really doesn't attract people who are interested in learning about ROBLOX, only those who already have a firm grasp on what ROBLOX is.
Maker faire offers very similar ways for older users to come and interact with each other and ROBLOX staff, as well as for new faces to see ROBLOX for the first time. It will also be interesting for current ROBLOX players to be able to explore other projects that have similar mindsets to ROBLOX that will also be present at the faire. |

| I think ROBLOX has a very high rate of growth, as told in Blog posts and at BLOXcon presentations. I don't see the reason to keep trying to go higher, it doesn't satisfy the people already on here. |
