*Article I: All sailors, whether they be currently deployed or not, are to give the utmost respect to eachother, regardless of rank. Superiors are to be addressed as, "Monsieur/Sir," or, "Madame/Ma'am," respectively. *Article II: Insubordination, or the act of failing to obey and carry out a superior officer's orders, is to be punished by two warnings. Should that sailor commit it a third time, they will be suspended from duty for the next 6 hours. Continuous acts will be punished via decision of a Captain+. *Article III: Promotions will not, shall not, and cannot be given by request of a normal sailor. The only personnel allowed to recommend promotions to superior officers are NCO's (Non-Commanding Officers) or those with promotion authority. Should a sailor commit this act, they will receive two warnings. Should they do it again, they may be liable to demotion. *Article IV: Should any Cadet, sailor, N.C.O., or officer attempt, plan, initiate, or commit an act of treason or mutiny, those so offending will be imprisoned and court marshaled by 3 Captain+'s. Should they be found guilty, they will be exiled forever and permanently banned from MRF ports and bases. *Article V: Officers are to respect, listen to, and take care of any and all sailors of lower rank. Should an officer fail to accomplish this, they will be liable to court marshal and, depending on the severity, demoted or exiled. *Article VI: If any sailor, whether it be a new Cadet or the Admiral of the Fleet, is found attempting to or successfully sabotaging any property of the Marine Royale Francais, they will be court marshaled and suspended from duty until after their court marshal. Should they be found guilty, they will be demoted by 4 ranks or exiled. The choice is the court's. *Article VII: All rules and punishments not mentioned in this act will be dealt with by the commanding officer at your nearest port. Cadet: A Pender must purchase and wear the Cadet uniform to begin their training in MRF. Seaman: A Cadet must show and use basic knowledge needed everyday in MRF, such as cannoneering skills. Graduated Seaman: These Seamen know anything and everything there is to know about both basics and advanced concepts. They are the elite upper-class of the "average Joe" and are well on their way to becoming officers. Quarter Master: Graduated Seamen must show basic rudiments of leadership, have a decent grasp of correct grammar, and have committed no serious offences (Mutiny, sabotage, et cetera). Second Master: These are Quarter Masters who have proven successful in leading sailors on and off of the battlefield, and are now able to command their own Corvettes. Master: Inspirational sailors who contain a massive amount of knowledge in cannoneering, grammar, leadership, and common sense, Masters are truly experienced in terms of naval endeavors. Sub-Lieutenant: Sub-Lieutenants are Masters who have proven themselves valuable assets and leaders in MRF, and are now preparing to take a test to become a fully-commissioned officer, a Lieutenant. Lieutenant: Anyone and everyone who is a Lieutenant deserves to be praised for their skill and talents. Starboard - The right side of a ship. Port/Larboard - The left side of a ship. The Bow/Asp - The front of a ship The Stern - The rear of a ship
Mainmast - The mast in the center of a ship. The mainmast is also the tallest mast out of them all. Foremast - The mast which lies on the forecastle and is infront of the mainmast. Mizzenmast - The mast which is located behind the mainmast. |
