First off, apologies for the...distasteful title. I enjoy a witty pun as much as any bloke, but, I'm not all that witty. So here we are with a family guy quote.
Secondly there has been a lot of people complain about roblox in the recent years, and with some points, rightly so. Time and time again when a problem is brought up someone complains about that user complaining, closely followed by every user and their mother talking about the god awful irony of it all; like its a new word they can't use enough.
So I'm curious. Do those individuals not agree that the first step towards solving a problem is acknowledging it? Do we simply ignore problems and not bring them up, play the game and even if we dislike aspects of it, pretend all is well?
Complaining may not be progress itself but surely it is beginning the path to progress. A prime example would be the price floor. Sure its still here but it is however literally a third of what it used to be due to the communities reaction.
Considering these people often provide no alternative besides silent and complete consent and obedience I find it rather, irritating. Its counter productive and in my opinion, just simple ignorance.
Thirdly, now all that waffle is out of the way, I'd like to know your opinions on this. Where does the common player stand on a small matter like this?
Finally, those that insist of posting tl:dr, this section of text took literally under 3 minutes to type, let alone read. If reading something like this is genuinely effort, I would recommend some extra support classes. |

Look at it this way, most problems are solved if they're not bothered.
I feel like when people stumble upon a serious discussion thread, they need to actually discuss what the threadmaker is saying. I see some of them just talk about the irony like you said, which is not making the person look intelligent in any way possible.
Complaining is actually how things get done. People don't like changes. Some get over it. But, not all decisions are bright. |

@Uffie Well its nice to know there are some like minded players out there. Too little actual discussion goes on in these forums and too much attention seeking and ego boosting has taken its place. |

I don't mean to disrespect any teenagers out there, but they haven't gotten past that stage to understand that changes can suck.
They think "oh just another useless rant thread lets just post how OP looks stupid to make us look smart" idea actually works. No, not it does not. |

| Opinions are pretty lost inside the swarm of complaints. |

Opinions are not lost in complaints, they are the centre of them. Complaints are built around opinions. A simple "I don't like this" is an opinion that is of no use to anyone however "I don't like this because..." gives substance to that opinion. It creates room for improvement. If anything, the complaints are more important than the opinions themselves. |

| What I felt was the opinions with a reason behind them getting lost in the many "remove nao" threads. That's probably not the case but it's a thought that came up in my head and I thought I could share it. |

Well then, I would say you are correct. There are a lot of opinions that are stated and left at that and it is easy to interpret them as mere complaints. Perhaps calling them complaints in that situation is more accurate than calling them opinions. Those threads and replies should be ignored, there are no help.
My issues is when we dismiss ALL opinions, even if they make solid points. Its something that bugs me about the forums. |
