| But why was Vietnam so bad? Most Viet Cong traps were defective and the VC couldn't aim for sht. |

because the vietcong used guerrilla warfare
only way to effectively beat guerrilla warfare is kill anything that moves even citizens |

| they couldn't effectively fight the Vietnamese as they couldn't tell who was who much less figure out where they were hiding, more often than not in battles the US just airstriked anything thought to be moving near US lines. |

| Aiming depends completely on the individual soldier, and a little bit on the weapon. Any war is bad. Assaults throughout the jungles, risking getting incapitated, your brains and limbs blown out and dying a longer, painfull, and unbearable death. Militias with civ clothing and AK's shooting at you in bushes in the jungle, etc. I can't see how it "wasn't that bad". |
