| Actually Congo is extremely poor, because in the 1900 Leopold II of Belgium raided Congo and nearly wiped out everyone in Congo because during that time, land grab in Africa was huge, and Leopold found that Congo was the biggest country in Africa, and he was in it for the money and he thought he would make a success. So he tortured everyone in Congo by chopping off their hands and collected about 400 hands a day, he would make everyone work even if they lost one hand. They would take the father, tie them to a tree and whip them until their back bleed and when they do, he would burn them where they're tied. Pretty brutal. Leopold's great grandson is 70 right now and was a royal member of Belgium and still is. Congo is still recovering from this though. |

"Congo is still recovering from this though"
It looks more like it's getting worse. It reminds me of the civil-war in Syria, the military shoots peacefully rioting civilians without stones or sticks. |

True, but China doesn't prefer using military as a way to neocolonize a country. |
