2+2x2 lets break it down lets put brackets on. 2+(2x2) we do brackets first so 2x2=4 then add a 2 you get a 6. 2+2x2=6 |

i can't imagine 8 wouldn't be a correct answer as well. there aren't any parenthesis, so it would mean solve the problem left to right.

"how much is 2+2x2"
I am assuming 2+2x2=0.
2+2x2=0 2+4x=0 4x=-2 x=-2/4 x=-1/2

@Iam
um no??? Going by order of operations/PEMDAS Parentheses Exponents Multiplication and Division(Left to right) Addition and Subtractions(Left to right)
so we multiply first because multiplication has a higher "priority" than addition 2 x 2 is 4 now add 2 + 4 is 6

@ mikeyman12ash
if the problem was 2+(2*2), then it's certain you use order of operations. there are no parenthesis though, so you could just do the problem left to right.

"if the problem was 2+(2*2), then it's certain you use order of operations. there are no parenthesis though, so you could just do the problem left to right."
So basically what you're saying is,
"If there is parentheses, you follow PEMDAS. If there are no parentheses, then you don't follow PEMDAS".
That's just stupid. |
