lol dis gonna make some people raig, k.
The Country that Sparta was conquered by in that last '300 vs 1k or so', was conquered by Macedon, which later divided, then later conquered by the Roman Empire.
Persia was also pushed out by the Romans from the Mediterranean, or at least their state was.
Rome in other words defeated the power that defeated Sparta, so Rome would've won anyway.
@"turk vs roma"
The Byzantine Empire was Grecko-Roman, the true Roman Empire vs the Ottoman Empire, the Turks wouldn't have stood a chance.
@"han vs roma"
China would've won if they were in that dynasty at its top power against Rome, while Rome fought in 10,000 vs 10,000 battles, China was fighting 100,000's vs 100,000's.
@"usa vs roma"
If you fought the countries based on their power and training of their troops from the time, Rome would've won, but if it was Roman Tech vs the USA, not even a war for the USA.
@"ussr/russia vs usa"
That happened already. The US and USSR were trying to bankrupt each other, and the USA bankrupt the USSR, and so the USSR fell in 1991. Russia didn't yet completely fail though, and now it has the ability to restore its power, and so with the whole Ukraine thing, they want to restore Imperial Russia (Russian Empire) or the Soviet Union, either one, which is why the protests in Kiev are happening.
