| I don't like them so therefore nobody should be allowed to get them, agreed? Nobody, adult or child, would be allowed to get a tattoo. Do you support this proposal? |

| yes, i completely support, i dislike the fact that people have tattoos, meaning that nobody should get allowed to get tattoos because it offends me! offensive things are not allowed in society because we all know better and we live in peace and harmony! |

| In my state, It was illegal for you to have a tattoo until 1999 because most tattoos have iron oxide in them and iron oxide is a ingredient in thermite thus making it flammable/explosive |

| That's awfully vague. Could you be more specific? Also, what exactly do you consider immoral about tattoos? |

But people should have the freedom to do it so long as it doesn't harm anyone else who doesn't want them? The whole thing about tattoos is you're not forced to get one. Allowing someone who wants a tattoo to get one doesn't infringe on your right to not get one.
Provided they have the money and the procedure is done safely, I see no moral issue.

Here's my solution, then. Don't associate yourself with people who have tattoos. You don't have a right to take everyone else's right to get a tattoo away, but you can certainly distance yourself from people who wear tattoos and only associate yourself with non-tattooed people. It's weird, and people might make fun of you for it, but that's my suggestion.

So no cosmetic surgery at all? No major surgeries either, for example getting a colostomy, because that modifies your body drastically?
I don't get it.
Listen, you're welcome to not want to get tattoos or other body modifications yourself. Or to associate yourself only with "clean" people. But you don't have the right to ban it for everyone just because you don't like it. It's like if an atheist banned people from reading the Bible just because he personally didn't believe in it. |

Getting dissed by a Capitalist:-10000/10
Yep.
Yes, but freedom is massively abused. Where does the simple, law-abiding, non-corrupted Common Man stand? |

While we're at it I can't stand being in public or all attention on me, so let's ban people looking at other people, and also ban television and ban every picture or representation of a human. Actually, make that all living creatures. Hey, we all need the freedom of privacy!? Right!?!?!?!? RIGHT!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!
No. |

Could you explain what exactly you mean by that?
>Yes, but freedom is massively abused. Where does the simple, law-abiding, non-corrupted Common Man stand?
The heroic proletarian man you describe in your dream world would be brutally repressed. He would not be allowed to eat meat, get a tattoo, watch adult materials, say mean things to someone else, do anything that could possibly be taken as offensive, and he would be absolutely equal to everyone. (Not, in fact, a good thing.)
Here's a fun quote.
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." — C. S. Lewis

"Getting dissed by a Capitalist" gasp. because someone being a capitalist automatically discredits their argument. |

Wait, wait, wait..
Most of you would support two people of the same gender getting married.
But if someone wants to get a tattoo, they can't.

I don't like the idea of tattoos myself but I despise the idea of something being
banned outright for no reason other than it offending people. |
