These are a basic set of rules and commands for the men of IFD. This explains firing drills, faces and formations. ______________________________________________________________________________
Commands:
Shoulder Arms = Press F = You will put the musket upon your shoulder.
Port Arms = Press N = Like shoulder arms but sideways.
Fix Bayonets = Press B = Add bayonets on the tip of the musket barrel.
Address bayonets = Press B = Removal of bayonet.
Present Arms = click gear or unport/shoulder arms = Take musket out.
Order arms = click gear = Put musket away
Firing Commands:
Volley = Firing in unison, at the same time.
Fire at will = Used in the heat of battle, a bit like blanket fire but you shoot when you see fit.
Blanket Fire = Starts off as a volley, but once you reload your musket, you carry on shooting, like firing at will.
Ripple Fire = You shoot in a Domino effect [One after the other] starting from the officers side.
Grape Fire = Almost identical to the ripple, but you fire from both sides inwards, you might not understand this, so ask in trainings.
Note: Never Use 'E' in training. E is an aiming tool but it is not to be used in training.
Face Commands:
Right face: Turn 90 degrees right from your current 'face'.
Left face: Turn 90 degrees left from your current 'face'.
Center face: Face your instructor.
About face: Turn opposite direction you are currently facing.
Right Incline: Turn half of 90 degrees -45 degrees- to your right.
Left Incline: Turn half of 90 degrees -45 degrees- to your left.
Formations:
Square = Used for in Calvary charges, your make a square, with an even amount of men on each side, around your current instructor, or officer.
Stagger = When you count off each man by 2's. The 2's would then step forward, crouch, and present. The 1st rank would then fire, reload, and stand, while the 2nd rank would advance, shoot, crouch, and reload.
Barricade = When two man form 2 ranks, and all ranks crouch. The second rank man(or men) would then crouch, move closer to the 1st rank, and present.
Arrowhead = Your men will form an arrow shape.
Flying V = The men will for a "V" type shape, leaving gaps in the cetner of it.
Slant = The men would crouch, and incline left, or right.
Skirmish mode = Basically a free for all, there is no specific formation in play, and you are to charge, fire, reload, and take cover at will.
Social Rules:
Any kind of offence to any other person is strongly forbidden. You will have no chances once you get caught doing it.
Moreover, asking for promotions is STRONGLY forbidden! I do not want people asking that to either me or ANY other person. If you do, you will be demoted.
Listen to orders! I do not want to repeat myself over and over, nor do the HR's! The chat menu is there for a reason. You must become more alert of other situations in battle, because careful thought would probably change the whole tides of battle. Like a opening in the enemies lines or an HR/HC ordering army to flank. If there is no chat menu, it is inevitable that you stick together.
Do not kill just for your own desire, there is nothing more annoying than an idiot of a soldier interrupting into your diplomatic negotiation. Contain yourself, and you will be recognized.
The more of a common soldier you are, the more recognized you will become. |
