I was about to land on the men
So I'm like 'okay, let's ditch this stage'
The engine was still running when I detached it...
So it crashed into my landing craft mid air ( although there was no air, it was over the moon)
I'm looking, it looked like it took out one of my fuel tanks, but that was okay, because I had 4 attached radially. Good design I guess, haha.
Unfortunately, the bottom stage took my craft really out of control and my lander engine was still running, so it took my craft to a very, very steep crater edge. I was already short a landing leg, but the slide down took out the rest of my ship before I was able to get my lander out of there. I could have escaped if I went full throttle and avoided the slide down. |

but the collision looked so cool
and it was pretty unlikely, because they were about 50 meters away from each other

| I can't even make it out of orbit. And if I do, I just get sent into space to orbit the sun forever. |

| This was the first time a kerbal was KIA on this save. I'd say I'm pretty good at getting them back. |

| i have a huge interplanetary ship in orbit that has the delta v to go to nearly every planet and back, but idk what to do with it. ill probably attach like 4 landers to it and send some missions to places like eeloo, duna, etc. |

"oh my"
Yes, I was trying to get my craft onto a thin slice of flat midland between two steep craters. This all happened only about 100 meters above the surface, because I was using my third stage till the last second, so it didn't turn out to well. I need to start using less fuel actually, because right now the only use I have really just mastered my men landings. |

No, because all you need for an eve landing is a parachute, which, due to the very very simple parachute 'simulation', if you can call it that, is all you need for your lander.
In reality, the reason we haven't sent real people to mars yet is because NASA has really strict standards in crew safety, which KSP ignores whatsoever. |

No, as in if they die they come back later and the only way to permanently "kill" them is to send them into space in a way that they'll never crash or return to Kerbin. |

if you use phase angles it is incredibly easy to get to any planet
like, too easy |
