I admit I don't know much about European politics so I don't have an opinion on this one.
Do you think the UK should abolish the monarchy and become a republic? |

| yes, the UK is just following an outdated system of government that went out of style in the early 1900s |

Yes, the amount of money added on to the taxpayer's bill is ridiculous, and most of it goes to wards the monarch. Anyway, the logic of the monarch is that you were born at the right place in the right time, which is unfair, and they haven't done anything at all.

As a Norwegian, I guess I may have something to say, and that is the same argument I use in my country: The monarchy is part of our/their culture. Removing it would also remove one of the trademarks of that country.
But then again, I should probably let the Brits decide for their own country. |

| It'll only make tourism go lower if the monarchy is abolished. |

| Actually the monarchy compromised that parliament could use the money the monarchy's already owned land(monarchy owned farms, etc.)generated every year for the government, and it generates more money than the monarchy consumes. |

"It'll only make tourism go lower if the monarchy is abolished."
I forgot this as well. Lots of tourists come to the UK to see certain monarchy owned landmarks or even the monarchs themselves. |

| Not abolished, just reduced. They're just figureheads that stand their to look pretty. I understand that it is part of their history and tradition, but it's useless. At least simmer it down a bit. |

Look at France's tourist rate, it's much higher then the UK and it overthrew it's monarchy, also, look at those which are higher then the UK but lower then France:
Germany, Turkey, Spain, Italy, China and the US.

| You guys really get more from the monarchy than you give to them. What are you expecting to happen, you kick them out and the government gets to take all of their belongings and sell them? |

| Well france and all those other countries are warm and Beautiful, I don't think Britain is the prettiest country in the world? The Monarchy is great for tourism, if you got rid of it, there wouldn't be much money coming in. |

If the monarch are so good for tourism, why not abolish the monarch and replace the money we spend for the royal family and send it to tourism.

| the UK's constitutional monarchy is full of figureheads who have almost no power whatsoever, and then they inflate them up to seem like they're important. i definitely say abolish their antiquated government. |

| As a Canadian, I resent the fact that a hereditary monarch is the head of state. Monarchies are defunct, obsolete and archaic systems of government that offer little benefit to a nation. |

| Seems to be wasting too much of my money which should be making sure there is less austerity :(. She doesn't seem like a very nice lady, did you know she asked for the money saved for people living on the breadline to heat the palace one year? Also she's too attached to her cashews (I doubt anybody heard of that story but it was kind of funny all the same). Brings back bad memories, seems like an obsolete tradition that resembles mostly terrible things. |

| The monarchs don't do anything, I'd rather have them stay. They have no power, and Britain's monarchy is their legacy. To do that might start uprisings and rebellions, who knows? |
