The Royal Army Act of Mandatory Conscription, 1801
This bill, authored and dictated in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and One, declares that a total sum of 20,000 robux will be assumed through taxes and donations throughout the empire to contribute to a massive recruiting campaign. This campaign's purpose is to solve the officer-ranker ratio by bringing in new recruits and limiting the amount of officers we have so that the ratio remains in a consistent ratio of at least 15 Rankers for every One officer in a company/battalion. This Act calls for the immediate conscription of more than 3,000 new recruits; should the first advertising campaign fail to bring in the required amount of recruits, a new one of equal value will be started until the amount has been reached or superceded. Because of the large change in the number of people who will be present at army fortifications, regiment caps will be increased in the following status:
Grenadier Guards: 20 per battalion, 100 or less trainees, making an effective force of 40 including both Batallions, excluding regimental staff. This allots for a total group size of 145 people in the Grenadier Guards
Black Watch Highlanders: 60 per battalion, 200 or less trainees, making an effective force of 120 including both Batallions, excluding regimental staff. This allots for a total group size of 320 people in the Black Watch Highlanders
95th Green Jackets: 40 per battalion, 150 or less trainees, making an effective force of 80 including both Batallions, excluding regimental staff. This allots for a total group size of 230 people in the 95th Green Jackets
In addition to the regimental capacity caps being raised to unprecedented levels, should the required officers be present, the total amount of regiments cap will be raised from three (excluding marines) to seven (excluding marines). However, from this point on, only regular regiments of foot can be raised, save the raising of one cavalry and one artillery regiment. Those foot regiments that are raised hereafter will not be elite infantry and will, to dignify their status as a seperate regiment, receive their regimental insignia on their left patch, where their rank insignia would be. This is to limit the varying colours when line formations are established.
The orders in this bill are effective immediately on ratification, and the required funds for the first recruiting campaign must be raised by March 30th, 1801. Should the required funds not be raised by that time, the recruitment campaign will terminate. |
