they either feature:
1. extreme overediting 2. terrible music (skrillex may make decent songs, but they're not good for montages) 3. shove three minutes of "story" to the montage 4. plays that aren't impressive at all 5. all of the above
i'd rather have a clean montage that just show the plays as they are. there are plenty of league montages, but also the older shooter (quake, ut, cs, tribes) fragmovies are that way too |

as to how anyone can listen to skrillex:
1.it's acquired taste. i'm pretty sure that all these super heavy metal fans didn't start there, it was a gradual change and they started on lighter metal. it took three years for me to go from klaypex to excision. hell, now i'm going into other genres which i thought i would never like.
2. it's usually better in the whole song. pretty much every seven lions song ever would suck if it were just only the drops, and skrillex's latest generic-brostep song (try it out neon mix) needs the buildup
3. different tastes, yo. i find the more ghetto kind of rap to not even be music, and i feel as if a lot of the super heavy metal definitely aren't my style at all.
plus, skrillex is actually really talented. he's become a pioneer in music, he created the generic brostep sound and as soon as it took off he abandoned ship to continue doing his own stuff. he deserves mad props for that. http://youtu.be/B_8xfmxea2M |

i was the same
and now i consider myself a skrillex fan, moreso than the typical skrillex fan because i support his move to different genres unlike others. he can't go back anyway, zomboy has super glued himself to the throne he used to sit on |

nope, i don't really have the creativity for music, or the time for learning music theory. i'm more of a photo editing person myself. also, making good synths is actually really hard.

cool

shoutout to pegboard nerds for making some of the better dubstep out there. of course, the montage parody modified it by adding that bass and making it sound more like a broken speaker, because otherwise it's not montage-parody enough if the song doesn't sound like pure noise |
