What im saying is that characters should be able to double jump. (jump while in mid-air)
"People can script it themselves." ROBLOX could script it one time, and nobody would need to script it again.
"I only want to jump once." Disable it, like you can disable Dynamic Lighting. (Or only jump once!)
"What if people made characters to choose from, and only few can double jump? (Like the TF2 scout)" Script it themselves, ROBLOX can't help with that.
Any more negative support should have a reason behind it. |

No support.
If you want it, go get a script for it. This doesn't add any value the vast majority of games, unlike dynamic lighting and the material updates - one of which you've pointed out as being optional.

"nobody would need to script it again."
Ah, but then people wouldn't learn how to make it, and then could have a problem with their scripting later on. |

There is no real need for this. For basic gameplay control functions, one has to think whether or not it is actually necessary. In ROBLOX case, one has to think how many games will be likely to actually use it.
In the case of double jumping, it's probably a minority, which would make implementing the feature less worthwhile than it would be preferred. |

People wouldn't need to go through the trouble of making the script, because ROBLOX has done it. Just enable and disable it, without searching through free models and find scripts that don't work. |

Just because someone doesn't know how to make a player jump doesn't mean that they would be messed up for life. Nobody lost their scripting skills when Dynamic Lighting came out. |

Then players wouldn't have to script bricks that change the color of a brick when it touches. Most people are too lazy to learn. |

They did add ROBLOX physics.
Double-jumping wouldn't look right on the avatars, because they're suppose to be at least a little realistic, and jumping in the air isn't possible.
And also, I agree with the above. If you can already add double-jumps using scripting, then script it. Make a code in notepad and save it if you want to use it in multiple games that you own. |

"Script it! :D"
People aren't born to script. They can't script a double jump feature without knowing how to make your character be thrusted in the air again at the same height (maybe even lower.). You'd have to spend atleast 50 minutes learning. |

"ROBLOX wants a realistic environment."
Yes, but people can also make fantasy games with the power to double jump (if they can script), and they have to use a starting kit to get started on it, because they cant script. |

totally scriptable I think but anyways, there is hundreds, thousands possibly MILLIONS of free models. maybe, just maybe one is out there. the only reason why those "scriptable" updates were released was to make ROBLOX more kid friendly, and make it easier to avoid freemodels, since free models are just SO terrible, in the minds of ignorant morons. |

No support.
Think, it would be to much of a hassle to the majority of the community to have double jump. First off, think about how many games you've been in that were had double jump. I've been here since 2009 and I have only been in one or two. It's not the problem of it being hard to script, it's actually very doable, but it's the fact that not a lot of games are designed for double-jump. Obbies would be to easy to pass, and group games would result in the raiders winning almost every time because they could reach the secret entrance easier. Most games would be ruined by the prospect, and the fact is, the number of people who would not use it would make it a useless feature, especially if they have to turn it off every time they make a new game. The small minority of people who would use it, they would probably script it themselves. This isn't a game intended just for fun, it's also intended to teach people how to script.
