Okay, so four months back when the price floor was made, I did a big rant about the community's reaction, which you can find here:
http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=113837727
I've calmed down, but the main point of that thread was to get people into being constructive, into making them suggest ways to make the price floor better... And I've seen only a fwe, which is... a baby step at least, I guess.
So I'm going to basically suggest ways to make the price floor better, seeing few others can be bothered to.
And yes, it's old, it's boring, but I want this done. Please, I want S&I to just move on, and it already has for the most part, but please, can we just move on? This thread is designed to make the price floor better, and will. :D
So, the price floor has a few problems. I will address these problems one by one. Simple. Really, so simple I'm suprised few people do it. .-. Anyway, this thread is designed 1) "New people have to wait 10 days to get clothing." Simple. Give new people a certain amount of tix just for joining. I mean, roblox IS an F2P, why don't they use that F2P as a trap like normal F2P games!? >:U I'd say about 200, one for a shirt and one for a pants.
2) "Limits customisation" Roblox makes a selection of free hats, shirts and pants. A small pool of items to allow people to customise.
Alternatively, the first shirt/pants a person buys can be bought for free. The owner of the shirt still gets money as if it was a normal sale. Maybe do this for the first non-limited hat they buy that costs less than 100 robux. And so veterans don't feel left out, they do this for everyone.
3) "Cripples people earning money from shirts" This is a difficult one to solve, but I think I've got it. At the end of each month, BCers get an additional 2% of all their profits from shirts/pants they made that month. I need input to fix this one, though. It is a difficult fix.
4) "Cripples group uniforms" Uniforms are pointless. Next.
5) "No, actually do a uniform fix. >:U" ...Uniforms are pointless. Next.
6) "Stop doing this little joke with yourself, Frozen. Do a uniform fix now >:U" ...Fine ¬_¬ Reduce the price floor for groups to 20 tix per item. ...Uniforms are completely pointless though, so just stop using them. ._.*
7) Q&A: 7a) "The price floor is pointless, just remove it!" http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=113837727 I cannot stress this enough. Don't even bother with your opinion; this thread is not to remove it or to get upset at the the price floor. This thread is to suggest improvements to it to make it less... [your opinion here] 7b) "There's another problem:" Feel free to post any problem you have with the price floor, and I'll suggest a solution. If you have a solution to a problem, also feel free to suggest it, even if that problem already has a solution. 7c) "I don't like solution-" If you're going to suggest a removal of a solution, don't bother. If you're going to not suggest something constructive, don't bother. If you match both criteria, feel free. :D 7d) "Support" Thanks. 7ea) "No support" ...How dare you >:U 7eb) "No support" (Serious answer) Pleaes state why.
...That about does it. |

| Another possible solution would be for the creator to choose whether to sell it, or give it out for free, though that may cripple the tix circulation reasoning that I recall being a part of why they did this. (Could be wrong about the devs stating that) |

They want to lower the amount of tix in the system.
Giving things out for either 100 tix or free has been suggested, but I'm personally not a supporter for it.
I'll add it to the list though. |

I'd pretty much consider people who don't want the price floor to be the trolls, to be honest.
They're the cancer of roblox, and people similar to them. |

I agree that users should be able to make shirts free - it seems fair to make it 100 Tix or free. Why is it bad to be able to sell free shirts?
Another great solution would be for NBC users to be able to make Shirts and Pants, but not be able to sell them, just like they can with T-Shirts. |

@Successful, Punks: http://www.roblox.com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=113837727 Not going to listen to your whining. It's here to stay, and your kind have sealed any possibility of removing it. So all we can do is improve it. If you're not going to suggest improvements, GTFO. Now. ... That was kind of harsh.
My point is, Roblox tried to fix stuff with the price floor. You are saying to remove that price floor, without suggesting replacements or improvements for it. That's called destructive criticism. You know what kind of people do such a thing? Trolls do such a thing. Imbeciles do such a thing. If you wanted to get treated like a troll, like an imbecile, go ahead. It makes you part of a cancerous cycle of thought that has been proven itself time and time again to be the greatest threat to roblox, after all.
So, if you want it removed, suggest a replacement for it. If you finally get it into your heads that it's here to stay, like it or not, suggest an improvement to it. Simple, no?
@Superswordfish Whilst your solution's technically against the WNTS, I'll add it. A problem with free items is copying items, which is a problem the price floor intended to fix. My thank you for your contribution, Sword.
So, extra improvements/solutions: 1) The ability to sell items for free. If you sell items for profit, you need to price your item at a minimum of 100 tix. 2) NBCers can make pants and shirts, but cannot sell them for profit. Perhaps for a price, as well. |

| But I see a flaw in this. 200 tix for new accounts? That would cause massive damage to the currency system. You would have TONS of BC users making new acc's and buying THEIR shirt for 200 tix. So how about this, when the account is made, ROBLOX tracks the IP and identifies it to check if theirs any accounts made onto or associated with this IP. That way it won't be so disruptive among the system. |

What's wrong with the ability to make shirts either free or the Price Floor?
I think the reason why you can't make free shirts anymore is because ROBLOX wants users to EARN their items instead of just getting them. You guys seem to think the 10 daily tix is the ONLY money you CAN get as an NBC member, which is totally false.
You can make profit off the Trade Currency. From a good game. That's all I can think of, but still, that's a lot of fun for NBC members. |

But why is the set price so outrageous? Why couldn't it be something more agree-able like, 50 or 75. I'm fine with either one.
1)Not good at game making? Well tough nuts buddy you have to wait 10 days to get 1 shirt/pants. Then wait another 10 for the other shirt/pants
2) Sure ROBLOX gets needs to make profit to but, why is 50 or 75 not reasonable? There is TONS and TONS of users on ROBLOX meaning they gain more than enough. I mean, they give out 10 tix to 1 user so if it's 50 to buy a clothing item they can certainly give out 10 tix to 5 users.

Its more fun when you have to wait 1 day to buy 5 shirts and 5 pants to customise your character and spend time on it, making combinations with shirts, pants and hats. I dont know why you support price floor ,its boring to have to wait 20 days to buy a shirt and a pant... |

"I stopped reading at number 4.

"Apologies, but I don't like such casual "I don't care they're really awful" attitudes." If a majority of the community trample on me, Why should I care for them? They've done nothing but give me pain and agony with their ignorance, and they cling to destruction like imbecilic trolls. Why should I care for imbeciles? Harsh words, I know. But that's how I feel- The community is the single most threatening thing to roblox's stability, more so than roblox itself. They'll tear apart the game they want to "save", so why should I care for them, when I genuinely do want roblox to be a better place?
There's my answer to that.
"you didn't answer my question. but honestly: what IS the point of the price floor? I don't see any solution it's solving, all it's doing is causing problems." First of all, I apologize for not answering your question. I just want to make it very clear this thread is not for questioning the price floor or dissing it, it's about replacing the price floor with something better or improving it, fixing its flaws. There are 5 purposes of the price floor that I can think of. I quote the first 3 from roblox's blog: http://blog.roblox.com/2013/09/price-floor-t-shirts-shirts-and-pants/ "1.Raise the quality of items in the catalog. 2.Reward makers and sellers of clothing. 3.To incentivize non-paying users to buy ROBUX." The fourth is to reduce inflation, where there's too much money in circulation. If it requires a ton of tix to make 1 robux, it's because of inflation. The market fee is designed to reduce inflation as well. The fifth is to stop copiers- Grats, you copied a shirt, you're not gaining any profit from it, though. Kinda falls into the second and first reason, though.
Either way, roblox at least ATTEMPTED to solve a problem. The people who want the price floor removed have not attempted to solve the price floor problems or suggest alternate solutions that are attempting to be solved by the price floor. I'm trying to keep said people out of this thread, to minimize how much I have to answer to and to make this thread as constructive as possible, because those people will never learn. And if they'll never learn, why should I keep attempting to enlighten them?... Well, It is a good way to pass the time, but still.
"What's wrong with the ability to make shirts either free or the Price Floor?" Stopping copiers- People copy a priced shirt, make it 0 tix, everyone buys that instead. Ah well. apologies for not explaining that earlier. (Note to self: If I say there's a problem with something, explain it in the same post. .-.)
"But why is the set price so outrageous? Why couldn't it be something more agree-able like, 50 or 75. I'm fine with either one. " To be honest, I'm suprised it's took roblox this long. Roblox IS an F2P, and F2Ps are hands down the greediest game genre out there. It's not really about profit, either. Its more fun when you have to wait 1 day to buy 5 shirts and 5 pants to customise your character and spend time on it, making combinations with shirts, pants and hats. "I dont know why you support price floor ,its boring to have to wait 20 days to buy a shirt and a pant..." I don't. I don't support the price floor. But I support the community's reaction to the price floor even less, because that reaction is both pathetic and cancerous. It's the same with just about everything roblox updates- People who don't even attempt to fix the price floor's problems or replace it with something else think they have power, think roblox is a democracy, when it isn't. I'm stuck bewteen being an S&Ier, trying to fix the problems the price floor has made and the problems the price floor is trying to fix, the right thing to do, and between being a member of the community, which would make me an imbecile, but popular, the wrong thing to do.
In this rock and a hard place, you can tell what decision I made.
":{ back in the day it use be 1 tix for a shirt or pants." Good for you. Shoo.
Solutions: 1) Give new people a certain amount of tix just for joining. I'd say about 200, one for a shirt and one for a pants. But only for the FIRST account on that IP, to prevent abuse.
2) Roblox makes a selection of free hats, shirts and pants. A small pool of items to allow people to customise.
2.5) Alternatively, the first shirt/pants a person buys can be bought for free. The owner of the shirt still gets money as if it was a normal sale. Maybe do this for the first non-limited hat they buy that costs less than 100 robux. And so veterans don't feel left out, they do this for everyone.
3) At the end of each month, BCers get an additional 2% of all their profits from shirts/pants they made that month. I need input on this one, though.

Total support The topic is well constructed and explains most of reasons why the prices should be adjusted and how.
I would love to see a "1 tix per join" as long as its kept under control. |

| Here's a fantastic idea to solve the entire price floor situation: GET RID OF IT! They went too far on this one! It's a ridiculous amount of money even for people who have BC. It's 2/3 of daily income. It's as if the currency rates weren't bad enough(20 tix for 1 robux). I wonder if roblox is just laughing behind their computers at NBC'ers, and don't forget the box of donuts they have on their table while they're slacking off. |

Anything to put socks onto their feet is good enough for me! (...Sorry, my friend wanted me to type that out. Don't know why, but anyways..)
I support. Though, there's nothing more I can really say that made me support this. An update is an update - whether you want to improve it or downright get rid of it, the reactions that have horrified or mentally irritated this community has resembled a lost fragment of what really matters on ROBLOX.
People don't leave because ROBLOX made an update that they don't like. They leave because they feel threatened from society. "The Price Floor did this to all of us," they say, but does the clothing you put on your avatar really define the person you are in reality? If it did, then all it is afterwards is people mocking your clothes, your style, and you; when they don't even know who you really are.
I must be tired. I don't like Wednesdays as much as I do for Sundays.
