But that's a sensible idea. Besides, most people want to be on the winning side, who are going to win. |

| However, what I am stating is a roleplay in the normal timeline, where you play a member of the Axis. No-more does a war roleplay have to center around red, white and blue patriotism, or a first person perspective of the winning side! Instead, we can face themes of defeat, loss, death, and agony. |

| But how often does Roleplay consider doing a WW2 roleplay based around the Axis Soldiers? I know most people on roleplay are children who are under the mentality that you should always win, but that's not how life works. |

| Theoretically, Japan only lost in 1978 when the last guy surrendered. |

Invasion of crete, they didn't loose, but they defiantly took heavy casaulites. Infact, they cancled a plan for a parachute assault on Malta because of the Fallschirmjager loses sustained. |

There are SO many things you can do from a German perspective. Most people think "N*zi" and "German" are the same thing. The N*zi had power in germany and led them during the war,Many German soldiers were conscripted and many of them were simple farmers, fishermen,And craftsmen. So many alternate timelines could be made to mix things up,What if some mistreated soldiers rebelled? And I don't mean "Went over to the US" I mean "Kill some Officer and his men and then run from both Germans and Allies alike". Think about it,There are two sides to every coin. |

...Mind if I bump this for a second?
WW2 Was all around interesting and I support the Axis idea entirely- the German perspective was pretty heroic actually, the Germans were outnumbered and outgunned during 1944/1945, so it wasn't like this is stereotypical losing- the Germans did pretty good for their time.
Also, alternate history is a cool idea. I mean, I know Berlin was bound to fall, it was obvious, but what if it didn't? What if America didn't utilize the nuclear bomb and instead, invaded Japan with their forces? What if the Axis went as far as to last until 1960s and then attack America? You could do some pretty fun stuff with it all, truthfully. |

| I once read a short story involving an alternate timeline in which the Germans won the battle of Britain. The RAAF was effectively crippled, and the short story itself revolved around the German invasion of the UK, from the perspective of both sides. It was absolutely fascinating. |

Pirate, is that story online? I'd love to read that personally, alternate history is very interesting, the fact it's both sides is better. |

Alt history is the best. How about Operation Barbarossa never happened, but instead, the Germans diverted those resources towards crippling the British Mediterranean Command. Karl Student's paratroopers seize Malta, whilst Rommel annihilates Montgomery's 8th army in a decisive battle, capturing Alexandria and Cairo in one swift movement, effectively turning the Mediterranean into an "axis lake" he then moves on to capture Britain's oil supply in the Middle East, taking Transjordan, Iran, Iraq, and yeah. Or Germany launched WW2 in a later date of 1943, where the Wehrmacht and the German armed forces are more prepared; the Messerschmitt Me-262 was mass produced and France, Poland, and Norway fell to the Reich; the Battle of Britain was own by Germany due to the me-262 being mass produced, operation sea lion commenced, before Rommel's newly formed Afrika Korps was ordered to sweep all British resistance in Africa and the Middle East, before the fuehrer turned to Russia, where they would meet the full might of the Reich and I can drone on and on |
