How would I go about doing this? I've heard about Motor6D and Welds, and I'm fairly good with welds, but I don't see how they could be used for animating. I can CFrame fairly well. All I really need is the ability to rotate an object at a specified joint (for example, rotating the left arm by it's shoulder as opposed to it's center).

You would use the C0, and C1 properties of the weld to rotate. they are Coordinate Frame values.

Can you give me an example? Last I checked, C0 was the position of the part and C1 was the rotation. Changing C1 would rotate the part at it's center. I want to be able to specify an area to rotate at (think "joint") and have the part rotate around that joint instead of it's center.

weld.C0 = weld.C0*CFrame.Angles(1, 1, 1)

I welded 2 parts together and changed the C0 with cframe.angles. The part rotated at it's center. I want to be able to set a joint that the part rotates on, instead of it rotating from the center.

There are 2 parts. 1 part is welded to the other. I want the second part to rotate around the edge of the first part, NOT the center.

Youll have to set the default for C1.
