"For generations, we have lived among the human kind, unseen, invisible to the naked eye. From the time of our birth, the dawn of our tales, the origins of our histories, we have dwelt in this fascinating world known to mankind as Earth..."
A young woman in a scarlet bodice and skirt and a matching bonnet saunters down the Victorian streets of England, passing a servant lighting a street lamp and two lavishly dressed gentlemen. The woman carries a basket of delicacies with a note on top that reads: "For Gran".
"...but under the circumstances that we continually remind mankind of our existence within our tales, - "Cinderella"; "Little Red Riding Hood"; "The Pied Piper of Hamelin"; and many, many more - for it is their awareness upon which we thrive..."
A man of German descent dressed in a 1940's olive green sweater vest with thin, neatly combed hair stands next to a children's storefront window with pocketed hands until a mother and child pass by. He removes one hand from his pocket and makes a page-turning gesture with his fingers; the pages of a book titled "Grimms Fairytales" behind the shop window turn suddenly, as though by a draft of wind, and stop at a page titled "The Pied Piper of Hamelin", dressed with elaborate illustrations of the pied piper leading the naïve children out the gates of Hamelin. The child pauses and points insistently at the book before his mother ushers him along. The pair pass directly through the ethereal figure in the sweater vest and proceed down the sidewalk.
"...But, should we be forgotten, we would wither away and become nothing more than words on paper, ink on parchment. We live because we are granted that privilege by mankind. Not all of us are as fortunate as others, though. There are those that needn't fear for their survival, those that are well-known among youth and adults alike. Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel, Snow White. They may live a long, blissful life, whereas the rest of us - the forgotten and anonymous fairy tales - must struggle to survive in this harsh, yet nonetheless spellbinding, world..."
A short, stocky figure in a waistcoat takes flight into the northern Canadian woods, darting aimlessly between the snow-topped trees. A strong gale blows through the woods, plucking the top hat off the frightful man, whose body quakes from the cold and from fear. Breathlessly, he drops to his knees, submitting to fate's will. The winds accelerate, whirling around the defeated figure. Cold, invisible hands, Death's devoted servants, tug at his sleeves, his collar, his hair. And all at once, the figure dissolves and is carried adrift on the wind.
"...But not all hope is lost. A beacon of light still shines in this dark world, like a candle that burns in a dark room. And that light emits from the heart of a city called New York- the humans call it Central Park. We, however, might know it as Aurumdale, a city that co-exists with the humans', a safe haven that only we can see. The mayor, an anonymous figure known as 'The Goldsmith', has promised us a life of prosperity and bliss. We need only to pursue our beacon of hope, and then we may rest at last."
---
"Be wary," whispers a new voice, "for nothing is as it seems. Gold is the root of corruption. For your sake, remember this..."
---
NOTES AND RULES
-In this role-play, you are a fairy tale character (better known as "Narrators"), and you are either a well-known Narrator (Snow White, Rapunzel, etc.) or a lesser-known Narrator (which may require some research). You are either already in Aurumdale, or you will soon be there.
-Remember, lesser-known Narrators are "impoverished", so to speak. They strive to make themselves known among the humans by doing things that will attract more attention to their stories. Well-known Narrators have less to worry about, but they are still promised eternity in this cryptic, yet alluring town of Aurumdale.
-Standard ROBLOX and RP rules apply.
-Keep OOC to a minimum, please.
-I will alter/add rules as I see fit.
-I do not mind inhuman characters, but please stay within reason if you choose to use one.
-Note that the Narrators have evolved with the world, so your character should dress in a 21st century attire (of any culture, of course).
-The "gift" in the CS refers to an ability that you are capable of. It can be magical, and it can be linked to a weapon or a possession.

A poem for taiwolf
Taiwolf you were always my favorite roleplayer
If I could
And
I know a should
Roleplay with your roleplays
All day.
Wouldnt haveit any other way.
I mean i say
This is great
I can't see have anyone could give out hate
Not even a shuffle
Not even from Bebi the truffle
Not even Soard
When he's bored
Not me
You see
I mean Tai
I can't lie
Keep this up
Like a volcano that erupted
So bye my friend
Hope you make another great roleplay again. |

| (@Creative- Actually, no. The main goal will reveal itself in the RP. If I presented it in the plot, it'd sort of spoil what I have in store for the RP. But that's why I added that bit of dialog below the main plot- to foreshadow what's to come.) |

Name: Belle
Alias: Beauty
Lore: Beauty and the Beast
Age: Well, going by the ages of that time, she'd be about fifteen. In the modern version, we see her as more 18-21. I'm going to compromise and say 17.
Gender: Female
Appearance: Belle has curly, dark brown hair which goes down to a few inches below her shoulders. She usually ties it back with a simple, light blue ribbon. Belle has warm brown eyes, a heart-shaped face, a tiny nose, and full lips. She is about 5'4", and has an agile build. Belle usually wears very simple clothing, as she is a poor girl. This consists of a white dress with a light blue apron on top.
Personality: Belle is a very strong willed girl, who adores reading. She believes in the good of people, but is a feminist for sure.
Gift: As far as I know, nothing.
Equipment: A book :P
History: Since I'm writing this as PB (Pre-Beast), here is the original story of Belle. Belle is a simple girl, the daughter of a french baker. Everyday, her routine is more or less the same. She wakes up early, going out into town to buy things. Belle is on good terms with the local bookstore owner, and an odd man named 'Gaston' follows her around. The creep.
(I'm probably going to make another one....I just need to find a good fairy tale!) |

| (By the way, the gift does not have to be something that is present in the character's fairy tale. You can choose a gift for your character, but make sure it's appropriate for that character. For instance, the Pied Piper may have a flute that can daze a victim. The Beast, of course, would have superhuman strength. Things of that nature. Or your "gift" can simply be a certain skill you've acquired. Whatever you prefer.) |
