Do you know if it will ever be possible to edit one's own posts or delete one's own posts?
I don't see why this is a bad idea.
Yes, I did try posting this in S&I but it was swamped under "remove bc" threads.
This is a question, not a suggestion. |

I like the idea. And maybe lock your own threads.

@FrecklesamThemouse
"i asked him already and he said it would be abused even with a moderator log that shows what "
"abused"
how would such a thing be abused? is this even hospital?
Say I made a grammatical mistake, I could edit it.
Or I say something unintentionally offensive (which I admit I have accidentally done in the past) and what to edit it/remove it so no mistake on the meaning can be made.
Or I made an embarrassing post. Bam. Removed.
Well, by "removed" I mean, invisible to all users except mods. I understand why mods would want to see it. |

People could use it to hide evidence of rule-breaking.
Or they could manipulate it for post farming.

| But then butthurts would just remove threads when they get negative replies. I don't support the delete thread idea, but I like the edit post idea just as long as it mentions that a thread has been edited once it's been edited, and you can see the original version of the thread. |

| I doubt it, it would make the mods job a lot harder. I wouldn't mind a lock your own posts option I guess, can't see too many ways that could go wrong. But an edit ability will probably never happen. |

Thank you so much for answering, slinkshotjunkie.
And also, is it okay if you correct my "is this even hospital" mistake, please? |

| Fair enough. I can see that making moderation even more difficult. And the deletion of posts is a bad idea altogether. I can't see the locking of threads going wrong either, but I can't see it as a useful thing. At least not to the point where anyone would take the time to incorporate something like that onto the forums. |
