| Is it better to be fair, or is it better to be equal? |

| Establish a standard on what means to be fair and what it means to be equal for starters. |

Fair, if one person work's harder then the other person, they should receive something better in return. That is fairness. Equality should only be used when a group of people are harming the rights of a different group in a way that is unfair.
To be honest, Fairness and Equality work hand in hand. |

Fair can be equal.
Fair: Everyone has their own inventory and progresses with it.
Equal: Everyone must have an equal amount of everything they own and must progress with it. |

| @Desired, That's not exactly true. Doing what's fair is giving fulfilling your promise. If somebody works so many hours and you told them that you would pay them so much money, it would be fair to fulfill that promise. Equality is a weapon used to bring society back to Fairness. It's used when unfairness becomes a problem. |

That makes it equal. |

"That makes it equal."
That's more of a moral decision on wages. Giving a raise to your best worker is not required, however you do it because he has worked hard. However the employer can choose not to give him or her a raise and it's still fair.
Equality is used when a Group infringes unfairly with the rights of a different group. It's used to re-establish Fairness.
If we only had Equality this would be a horrible world, Fairness is essential to the formula of our society. |

@Advert
It makes it equal because I gave you something, you gave me something. |

If you gave me an orange and I gave you an orange, we're still in the same place. That's not Equality.
If I gave you a Fruit and you gave me a Vegetable, for all you know I could have a lot of Vegetable's. It doesn't make it Equal.
Their are different forms of Equality.
Economic Equality Social Equality and Political Equality. |
