How are mirrors possible? What needs to be done to make one? I don't expect a whole code, just some stuff to help. I looked at the Wiki to no avail.

It pretty much requires algebra 1. You have to have the position of the mirror, and then You have to be able to find the angle to which it is slanted, to decide which side something is on. Then you have to clone the object on one side into the other.

He doesn't mean like that. I believe the OP means a color reflection, which would simply require raycasting.

Let's say, you want the surface of an Ice rink to look like a mirror:
Make the surface of the 'ice' Transparent.
Make the Top of the Skybox & the Bottom have the same Decal (probably the roof of an Arena)
Clone the Rink; flip it upside-down, Glue to the bottom of the rink.
For extra points Clone Player constantly; flip that and reverse it; glue to the bottom of the Player.U have a lot of coding ahead of you....

A SurfaceGui withs lots of frames and lots of RayCasting is prolly the most accurate.

Ray cast the ray to the side you want the reflection on. If apart is found, set the backgroundcolor3 to the parts brickcolor.color. If a part is not found, make the frame invisible.
You gotta update it real time and lots of times. |

You mean like a working mirror for players to see items moving around on the mirror when they move them? I think that involves math. You an ask my friend he's currently creating one.

Mirrors aren't possible... Mirrorlike is possible, but it will never work perfectly like a real mirror...

If you guys didn't notice, that's not a real mirror; he put a box around the map and a transparent block, using objectspace to make things on one side exactly on the other (which is easy). 3D mirrors are much easier than 2D
