Now, there have been many questions and speculations about Battle Network, and this thread is going to clear it all up. Our meeting had just concluded and we discussed and fleshed out a lot of ideas. This will now disclose the contents of this meeting and the plans we have in the future:
Battle Network is a series of hexagon-based tiles through a giant map network. Some hexagons are clan bases (held by the clan owners), some of them are impassable mountains only displayed as a brown hexagon on the map and inaccessible but blocking routes, but most are battle zones reserved for combat.
To start with, battle zones are regions in the map that reflect deserts, valleys, et cetera. There are roughly 3-5 between each clan base and are reserved for combat. As members can only spawn on hexagons they own, clans will fight to capture these near enemy bases to ensure that they can send units in to raid without having to travel long distances. This enables scouting and recon capabilities in clan warfare.
Clan bases themselves are large fortresses built by the clans themselves. They have a slight bias toward the defenders, and have access points typically on all 6 sides of the map. For a raider to capture a clan base, they must commit to multiple raid wins to destroy the base's health. The base's health regenerates slowly over time, so the clan who destroys the other clan's base first wins.
=== FAQ === --How will this prevent empty server raiding? When a clan empty server raids, they can successfully capture the base. The base's health does not go down, however. If a clan fails to defend and gets empty server raided at least three times in a row, a referee is notified to check the clan for inactivity. If the referee sees the clan is not defending but is active, they become defeated. If they are inactive, they are removed from the Network for being a lame clan.
--What prevents clans from changing their base to become unfair? Using Data Store, we will send encrypted data packets to and from the clan base's server from our database that stores all information. If these packets are found to present information that tells us the place's scripts, models, or part count were manipulated in any way, the base becomes disconnected from the network and a referee is sent in to check what happened.
--Who's to stop a VAK or WIJ from dominating a small startup in 30 seconds flat? A tier system will be implemented to prevent clans from fighting clans under their tier. For clans to work up the tier system, they must defeat clans above their tier. Similar to High School sports teams, except instead of based on size it's based on victories.
--Why should my clan SPONSOR the Network? There is nothing to provoke you to sponsor us right now without any evidence we can follow through unless you trust our service will succeed in this competitive clan world. If you do believe it will, by joining us as a sponsor you will ensure other clans such as yourself will take part in this and give us the support we need through recognition. All I can say to earn your trust is either look at our developer's history (made up of Sigma's finest: many members of society working in engineering fields and for software development teams using project development frameworks accepted as the industry standard). If that doesn't settle it, just wait and see until we launch and wish you sponsored us sooner.
--Why should my clan JOIN the network? If you join the network, you can compete with multiple other clans in a combat system you can trust. No more arguments of who won leading into both sides claiming victory and forgetting about their debates. No more empty server raiding, bases more unfair or more fair than others, or having to put up with inactivity in your clan or enemies that don't have a clue. Fight clans with the same thinking as you: Fun, sportsmanlike, and community-driven warfare that the whole family can enjoy. Not to mention, you can *USE YOUR OWN GUNS* anywhere at any place, anytime.

| Seems great but I got one question. How are you going to just raid for fun, cause this seems like you would have to raid multiple times to get to a base. Also, couldn't a bunch of clans just pound at one base until it dies. |

It's actually not even close to the hardest project Donar V has made. I can't give a timeline yet since we haven't come to a conclusion as what everything that's in the project will be, but it will be out by latest the start of Summer.
Reblex, it might be hype. The project *WILL* be completed before Summer, but whether people back it or not will make or break it. |

That's two questions!! Yeah, you can raid for fun. In fact, people not representing clans will be able to join as explorers and spawn on unclaimed land. They won't be able to count their wins, but they can raid as a group of explorers.
Yes, a clan could pound a single base using *conventional combat* just like in normal Roblox. Clans usually willing to go that stretch will normally be Tier 1 fighting other Tier 1 clans. There will be alliances, so if you're not a large clan you can always rack up with allies.
We may implement guerrilla methods to outdo conventional combat. |

My only concern is what happens if a clan gets mass exiled, abandoned, or just goes inactive.
What would happen then?

| One more thing. If two clans are at war and one clans base is always getting pounded by other clans that aren't in the war. What would happen? I mean even with no ally raiding allowed, the base would still get pounded enough that it would be easier for the enemy to defeat it. |

We can run activity checks to see if it gets AA'd, abandoned, or becomes inactive. We'll remove clans that become as such and are incapable to sustain their base.
Yes, clans can leave the Battle Network and we'd replace their tile with a battle zone.
Another note, most likely it'll take 3 days to get your clan installed into the network assuming your first submission doesn't need mending after it's been checked by a referee. |

Yes but how would you discern a true dead clan and a dip in activity?
Because a lot of clans recieve spikes and bumps in activity every now and then. |

I dont have a clue as to what the real answer is but
My solution to that would be to supply the group's base that is getting raided constantly with more defendable hardware and make it easier for them to defend against masses of enemies, but not making it op at all

tl;dr version of my question. A base of a clan that's at war is always at low health due to raiders from other clans raiding.(not enemy clans, just random ones.) The enemy comes in when base is low on health and defeats it. What would happen? |

An attack is a declaration of war. A war status can ONLY be ended if both parties agree once started. Allies are allowed, so people can form alliances and coalitions against other clans. Usually clans with many allies will be tier 1 already.
If a clan is getting pounded and completely dominated, maybe it's in a tier too high for their skill anyway. |
