[USA] USCP: Deputy Chief Speech Intro to my speech: Hello there fellow USCP, I am Captain Decur of the United States Capitol Police. Many of you may know me from being USCP at Washington D.C. I write this to inform you that I will be trying out to become Deputy Chief.
First problem in USCP: Abusing Officers.
I understand there are abusing USCP officers, and that the civilians getting arrested for false things, and they deem it unfair, which it is. Probably the most annoying to these people is that these abusing officers are not getting a punishment or sent to federal prison. Well, I can change that: If there is an abusing cop, people will have to send me photos and video evidence, now that is the part that you have to do, so I can confirm it's true. The thing I will do, is I will punish these officers accordingly. It's time to change those abusing officers. If elected as Deputy Chief, I will ensure they will get a punishment in federal prison and suspense. If they continue to abuse, or if it's a huge problem, they will be fired from USCP. Believe me, they WILL be fired.
Second problem in USCP: Minimum try-outs and trainings.
Yes, there are not that many try-outs in USCP and basically no trainings at all in USCPA, which creates a problem: Nobody gets into USCP. There needs to be more USCP & USCPA Trainers/HRs that can host tryouts and trainings every so often, so that we can recruit active and skilled officers willing to defend Washington D.C, and the people in Washington D.C. I will change this by becoming the Deputy Chief, because as Deputy Chief, not only will I be able to host tryouts, but I will also be able to host trainings and elect trainers accordingly. Hopefully more members will be active since USCPA is undergoing a needed reform at the moment.
Third problem in USCP: Academy being opened with inactive trainers.
In my honest opinion, what is the point of opening an academy if you are going to have inactive trainers? I mean, come on, and get real. If you are going to have an academy, you might as well have active trainers that listen to rules and who you rely on that are active, disciplined, and willing to teach others below them. If we are going to continue with the USCPA, we will have to find more active trainers, so that the officers-in-training actually have a chance to make it into USCP. Hopefully after the reform, I will be able to look for self diligent members who are willing to share their skills with the academy and be active in training.
Fourth problem in USCP: No grammar, punctuation, messing around, etc.
This really seems like a big problem in USCP. Our officers go to D.C, mess around, and don't use or even TRY to use any grammar whatsoever. This makes us look very unprofessional and foolish. We are USCP, not some knothead American group who thinks all because they have authority, they can do whatever they want. No, that is NOT how things are going to go around here. USCP needs to look professional, self disciplined and respectful as possible. This is how we are going to be able to communicate with each other better, look more intelligent, and have a better reputation. As Deputy Chief, I will ensure, there are no nonprofessional officers. One person can make all of USCP look bad, which is not what we want. We are highly skilled officers. This messing around is going to stop.
Conclusion: I understand the problems, I've been through it myself, and it’s time for someone to put an end to it as soon as possible. Not only me, but probably all of us want USCP to be that active, intelligent, self respecting and disciplinary group that it IS meant to be.
End: Thank you for reading my speech, I hope you vote for me as Deputy Chief, because all of my priorities will come into effect if elected, making USCP have a better foundation.
