So that we can have T-Shirts that move or have animations. Yes I am aware of that fact some roblox game Devs may be able to make an effect that closely copys Gifs, however can only be done with scripts, therefore limmiting use of these "Giff T-Shirts" to the game that were created in. So my suggestion is allowing Giff support for T-Shirts so we can have "Moving" T-Shirts. Forgive me if someone has already suggested this...

| The only thing that can be a problem is "bad" gifs, or flashing ones, maybe some others idk. |

Moderation wont be hard to get around, mods have the ability to obtain the original Giff sent to roblox, with the giff they can "decompile" it to see each picture seperately. Simple...
Also sorry about that, a Giff is a file extention for a picture that often contains multiple graphics that are set to be looped through in a given order.

| It is .GIF and, using this would definitely cause excessive amounts of lag. Sorry, but no support. |

Could you explain why it would cause lag? It seems to me the lag problem is irrelevant, and seeing how there is not a scrap of proof in sight that would remotely suggest that it would cause any server side or client side lag , I would have to disagree with you in that area. No offence...

I'm currently laughing at my computer. Alright, to put it in terms for you, imagine going into a server. If you can't get it in your brain, lag is caused by many things moving or many scripts working at the same time. In order to make a Gif on a T-Shirt, it isn't as simple as pressing a few buttons. The server has to process the whole Gif, loop it, put it on a player requiring to find code, and whenever the player dies, it needs to repeat. If you STILL don't understand, this might take 10 minutes to do because of the sheer size of players and possible Gifs, making AVALANCHES of lag.

No agif support. My WEB BROWSER lags with agifs, and my computer is fairly beefy. Let alone in a game with physical simulation of hundreds or thousands of components and a great number of supporting scripts/heavy graphics engine in the background. Roblox has a pretty good setup overall for lag and testing/etc, but Ogre isn't the newest or most efficient graphics engine. Basically, animated gifs don't work properly in browsers (light load), so there's NO way they'll work in game (heavy load.)
Not to mention moderation issues. |

Thank you for your input gentlmen, but I still havn't seen a scrap of evidence that could suggest lag. I have only seen arguments that use assumptions based on their experinces with roblox cleint and server interactions. (I am sorry I didn't clear this up the first time) Seeing as everyone who has spoken so far has no expeince coding the roblox engine, it is not safe to rule out lag, but it isn't safe to rule it in either.
Also if your browser lags your computer it is safe to say your internet connection, router, web browser, or computer is slow and its a wonder your even using the roblox engine as it is. As always, no offence guys.

While I will not disclose my age I am will say that I am currently of a higher age then you. I do indeed bet you do have some computer experience. However you still have not worked on developing the roblox engine therefore I would advise you to not make such broad statments that possibly imply you have. I also think that a system based on age is not effective at determining intelligence.
Evidence for that last statment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LWjzTrtrebo
As always, no offence to you gentlemen.

The only problem I see is moderation
It takes an hour as is to review a image, let alone a GIF that can have up to hundreds of images/frames. |

| The only thing that you can probably connect to performance is loading times, as it will have to load the GIF (which as I said earlier can have up to hundreds of frames) it probably won't affect you with just 1 GIF or so, but it'll probably be slower if you have up to 10+ GIFs in one spot. But who knows. |
