instead of saying 'ok u get x points if u win a raid' and then making all these ridiculous raid rules just say 'ok when u win a raid the number of points u gain is equal to the maximum number of defenders reached at any point during the raid'
then u would have a lot more options because u could either try boosting your activity and winning by attrition, or u could try building an elite strike force and risk reliable wins but get a lot of points in a shorter amount of time
tho im trying to think of a way to encourage people to defend im thinking if raiders take control of an enemy base in an empty server and they announce their presence to an online representative of the clan then they get 1 point for every hour they are there after the message is sent?? idk |

firstly clans would have difficulty recording and proving the maximum number of defenders present and then clans would make small servers to minimise defender numbers and other stuff

ok how about for the duration of the war there's one or two 'judges' from each clan that joins the opposing clan and checks for any unscrupulous activity

im no scripter but it can't be too difficult to keep a record of the maximum number of defenders in a server that resets every time a raid starts also why don't the clans decide on a minimum server size for their raidable fort(s) for the duration of the war in the war terms |

the clan world is currently very unco-operative would work for some, but not for lots of others
tbh ive not really ever thought about alternative war systems myself if you can make a system which properly encourages defending, then that'd be great
I'm not sure having a point an hour until the defenders come would work most clans have a 'blind spot' of activity in which a couple of raiders could just farm points
