I'm only getting 350kb per second.. Kinda sad really.. I'm right next to the WiFi monitor and there is no diffrence in speed compared to just plugging the cable in. I have two tabs open, one for roblox, and one for the thing I am downloading.. |

If you're like me then you might be trapped. My results on SpeedTest never reach over 1 mb/s down. (and average about 100 kb/s on any downloads). Not to mention the instability of my connection and limited bandwidth. The reason for this: Frontier Communications, they have no interest in updating the lines on my road not even if you payed them, so I'm stuck running dsl on copper lines. woo.
Now you could always look at satellite internet, but if you want to do any gaming there's going to be some latency. Another option is getting internet through a wireless carrier like Verizon or sprint. Depending on the company you could tether the connection and use a phone as a router. Now I'm not sure what the speeds are on 4G, I'm only able to get 3G where I am on sprint. They may also have some different plans. Another thing to take note of is limited data which sucks, I know sprint offers unlimited, but I'm not sure if anyone else does.
Beyond that, idk. Perhaps you're paying for a lower tier plan which leaves room for more speed at a higher price.
Words! :O ^^^ |
