[0.1] CORUS:
Corus is the division that focuses on the community of the WIJ Corporation. It gives people the chance to shine on fronts other than training and combat and allows them to put those skills to a good use. With Corus, we hope to be more community involved and become a more all-round clan.
__ [0.2] INDEX:
=>JOBS 1.1 – Specific job descriptions 1.2 – Their role and their duty
=>JOINING 2.1 – Getting in Corus 2.2 – Your portfolio
=>DUTIES 3.1 – Duties of a Corus employee 3.2 – Duties of Overseers
__ [1.1] SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
=> ARTIST Artist is a broad job in Corus. Artists can do anything artistic related to WIJ that isn’t building. Artwork, advertisements, music, videos, propaganda, uniforms, thumbnails, and so on. Your work may be used in WIJ places or somewhere else. You may even be asked to work with Sable Industries to provide art or decals for their places. Artists don’t work with a deadline unless specifically said so. Progress is often checked by the Overseers. Thus you must be contactable. Per piece of work you can receive between 10 to 200 cP depending on the amount of work that has been put it, and how it ended up looking. There is no maximum limit of people for this job.
*This job is considered challenging but not particularly difficult. *Want to apply for this job? Go to chapter 2.1
[NOTE: Advertiser was merged with Artist. Advertiser no longer exists as job!]
=> WRITER We’ve had writing contests in the past but we’ve never truly supported the writing of fiction for WIJ. We believe this has to change! If you’re interested in getting more in-depth with the WIJ fictional world, want to get yourself known and improve your writer skills? Then this may be the job for you. Writers have the choice to either work on a long period of time on a single ‘book’ of chapters or publish chapters separately. Progress will frequently by checked on by the Overseers and the Chairman/Marshal, who will criticize your writing and use of the fiction universe. The Chairman tends to give tips on how things in the WIJ universe work. You’re also told to take your time and don’t rush. If you are finished with your work, contact an Overseer or higher. Your award can range from 10 to 200 cP depending on the amount of work and the results.
*This job is considered quite challenging and will test your skills. *Want to apply for this job? Go to chapter 2.1.
=> JOURNALIST Journalism is something new we’re giving a shot. We’re going to have a newsthread for WIJ that is posted on the forums. Journalists are people who write articles for these newsposts, they do not publish them themselves. Newsposts will be published when Overseers are happy with the amount of accepted articles. Articles will be submitted to Overseers or higher, who will then read it and criticize it, and if accepted, they will put it on a shared list (so Overseers basically take the role of editor). When there are enough articles, Overseers or higher will put all the articles together in a format and publish it. You will be credited and awarded with 10 to 50 cP per article that has been included in the newspost.
Articles can be: -Interviews (interview someone who has an interesting point or thing to say). -Information (on new WIJ projects or events happening, completely factual). -Argumentative pieces (where you give your opinion on something). -Something you come up with.
Overseers will often ask you to show them your progress. As writer you work with no *set* deadline, however you must keep in mind we want to publish a newspost roughly every 2 weeks. So you might very well be pushed by an Overseer to write an article as soon as you can. There is a maximum amount of open slots available for this rank. If it has been met, you will be informed.
*This job is considered very challenging and will require you to do a lot of searching and investigating. *Want to apply for this job? Go to chapter 2.1.
__ [2.1] GETTING IN CORUS: Each job has a different requirement.
=> ARTIST You have to PM or contact an Overseer of Corus. In this PM or message you have to include a reason why you want to join Corus (why are you enthusiastic for this job), a way to contact you easily (preferably X/Fire), how active you are on Roblox and your justification, what timezone you reside in (for contacting purposes), and most importantly a portfolio of your previous work that shows us how good you are (preferably hosted on img/ur if you are an artwork artist, or soundcloud if you are a music creator, or youtube for videos. If you don’t know what img/ur is, remove the / and google it or ask someone in WIJ). The portfolio is really the key to your application.
You will be responded to as soon as possible. You will be accepted or denied depending on our (collective) judgment. Overseers will have to discuss your application with each other and with the Marshal/Chairman. If you don’t get a reply after a week, contact another Overseer or the Marshal/Chairman.

Include a link). The portfolio is really the key to your application.

__ [2.2] YOUR PORTFOLIO: A portfolio is a collection of work you’ve made over the years (or other timeframe) that shows us how you have progressed and how good you currently are. It’s important for us to know what level you’re on and what we can expect from you. From there we can make a solid judgment. Overseers who are contacted will have to discuss your portfolio with other Overseers and the Marshal/Chairman. Then they will make a judgment on whether to accept you or not. Portfolios will have to be uploaded in a place where we can easily access it. This depends on the kind of work you do (read 2.1 for details on where to upload).
__ [3.1] DUTIES OF A CORUS EMPLOYEE: You are required to be active in Corus and show your activity. Overseers+ may ask you for your progress and you have to show it to them. If you work with a deadline, you are expected to make that deadline unless you have a good reason you have contacted an Overseer about beforehand. If you are low activity-wise, Overseers+ may confront you with this and talk to you about it. Activity is required in Corus or you risk getting warned or far worse; fired.
__ [3.2] DUTIES OF OVERSEERS: You are required to be active and open your messages up for applications. You are also required to reply to applications within 7 days unless you have a good reason and the Chairman or Marshal have been informed of this beforehand. You are required to discuss these applications with the other Overseers and the Marshal/Chairman. You will make a judgment collectively.
You are required to keep a check on employees and their progress. You are to be open for finished work that employees deliver to you. When this work is from an artist, advertiser or writer, you will first discuss it with the Chairman who will make a judgment. When this work is from a journalist, you have to put it in a shared sync(.)in document (Overseers only) and criticize it (you take the role of Editor). When there are enough articles, you will put these articles in the format. Then it can be published with the permission of the Chairman.
__
That’s all. We hope your understand. If you have any questions, feel free to ask the WIJ HICOM or the Corus Overseers. And most importantly, have fun.
