This is the fixed version, taking into account the suggestions made to me.
This is a post for any debate topic, other than religious ones or those that will arouse negative feelings. Please feel free to join, but be sure to follow the rules posted.
These rules are to make sure the debate is friendly and productive.
Rules:
1. A topic will be decided by vote. Suggestions will be given, and each arguer will have one vote to cast.
2. One must answer position being argued, and not start a new one until the current one is resolved.
3. One must be willing to change their opinion if they find sufficient evidence in the argument.
4. All the evidence must be relevant to the current topic and to the position being defended.
5. One may not attempt to place the burden-of-proof on another person's shoulders. In other words, if an opinion is stated, the one who stated it is obligated to defend it and may not simply ask the opponent to prove the argument wrong.
6. Flaming is not allowed in any situation. Control yourselves.
7. The argument will not be counted as valid if the logic is faulty.
8. A good argument will be considered proof unless the opponents can provide a good counterargument.
9. A refutation of expected arguments is recommended, as it saves posts and adds credibility.
10. The argument will be resolved when either all parties are satisfied with the evidence, or until I decide that none of the positions is defended adequately.
11. One cannot simply say that an argument is wrong; one must provide a counterargument.
12. Post "I Like Waffles" on your first post to prove that you have read the rules.
13. A maximum of four positions will be allowed, as more than this will lead to confusion. However, any number of people may defend an position
14. Remember, keep your arguments friendly.
15. Topics must not be religion related, and no reference to religion may be made.
At the beginning of a position in your argument, please add a number, 1,2,3, or 4, as a way to identify future posts. At the beginning of any other argumentative post, please add the number of the position your post is defending. At the beginning of a counterargument, please add the number of the position that you are arguing with a greater than symbol and then the number of the argument you are refuting. For instance, for a counterargument of 4 by 1, one would put 1>4.
Arguments will begin when at least one person joins.
If you did not add any suggestions in the previous post, then you're out of luck. PM me if you absolutely need to notify me of something. |

I like waffles, but I am not a big fan of pancakes anymore within given reasons.
1.flavorless without syrup, unless you get them from my local "maplewoods." 2. refer to 1 if you don't agree. |

Let's start with number one.
I will start off by saying,
If a kid becomes violent after playing a violent game, it's in no way the game creator's fault, it is the player that is at fault. It's in the way the player chooses to use what they see in said game and apply it in real life. In all cases of real life violence by kids that had been playing video games with violence in them, it had been the child's own fault by doing what he/she did to the other person or to themselves. |

I believe that video can possibly cause violence, at least in short term. I believe that more study is needed, for the current studies are insufficient. Because the games can possibly cause violence, I think that parents should be more controlled. |

| That was stated wrong; I think that parents should control what their kids use more. |

I believe that the subconscious sees video games as real life, regardless of conscious. |

| I agree with colie here, because given the fact that more and more games are reaching "real-life standards," and it can cause a violent sub-consciousness that would come out with even the simplest of problems. |
