@thepwnerer, You aren't funny, you filthy bandwagonning scrub...
Electronic music takes a lot of skill, it's not just pressing buttons on a keyboard. It takes a lot more than what people think it does...
@OP, I'd say Pegboard Nerds, Droptek, Zomboy, Skream, Tristam, Stephen Walking, KOAN Sound, Varien and 12th Planet for your heavier dubstep...
Seven Lions, Rezonate, Direct, Rameses B, AZEDIA, Day One and MitiS for more chilled dubstep...
A few other artists I'd give a listen to, are; Vicetone (House) Wolfgang Gartner (House) Hellberg (House) Deutgen(House) Astronaut (Electro) Stereotronique (Electro) Throttle (Electro) Favright (Electro) Insan3Lik3 (Mainly Electro) Feint (DnB) Muzzy (DnB/Drumstep) Bustre (DnB) Fractal (Mainly Drumstep and Dubstep) Protostar (Glitch Hop/Neurohop and Dubstep) The Glitch Mob (Glitch Hop) Haywyre (Glitch Hop) Televisor (Nu-Disco/Nu-Funk) Mitchell Claxton (Trance)

"It takes more skill than that"
Yea, but once you get all the sounds needed hot keyed to a keyboard, its not that hard and you can just overuse the same things over-and-over again |

just because some of the more popular artists only use macbooks doesn't mean thats how it all is, all sorts of instruments go into it, ie. synths, keyboards, turn tables, etc. |
