Why am I taking so much time to do this? Do I really care about this that much? Yes, I do care about this that much, and thus I've made time. Be warned though, I tend to act a bit harsh in certain situations, as well as use rhetorical questions a lot.
Saying #1: "You can do/be anything anything you want to if you believe and try hard enough!" & Saying #2: "You can't do anything great in life, be realistic."
Let's wake up, shall we? I'm sorry to say (well, not really, because for some odd reason it's satisfying for me) that you can't do everything if you just "try hard enough" or "believe you can". The reason I say this is not from experience — oh no — it’s from observation, but most of all, it's from simple, un-delusional common sense. These two groups, those that think they can do anything if they try hard enough (the majority of people, pitifully), and the people that think you can’t do anything because you’re a loser, are equally ignorant and dense in this area. Would you like to know the correct stance?: It depends largely on the situation you’re in. You're not thinking correctly if you start generalizing all situations to fit in one of these two categories.
Saying #3: "Keep on trying."
Sure -- maybe -- it depends on the situation, just like on my last word wall. If you have a logical chance at succeeding at something, keep going for it; however, if you're trying to become a great singer when you utterly suck at it, just stop. You're wasting your time, try and go for something you *can* do.
Saying #4: "Everything happens for a reason."
....If you're referring to blaming God for your problems, I'd learn what a calvinist is, and what an arminian is, before you start ignorantly choosing. (I can't get much deeper into this problem without cutting it close to Roblox's unseen but existent terms about religion/politics in the forums.)
If you're not referring to that, this one is a bit tricky. Everything happens because of a reason, but not always for a reason. People make claims like "that happened so that I could learn a lesson", "so that I didn't make that mistake", "to avoid that accident" etc. They act, as though, they have tapped into some mystical lesson and prevention system. When it happens to other people you hear: "well, it was their time to go", "I guess he never learned his lesson", etc. How can we ever prove that these things happened for a reason? Besides, what's wrong with good, "old fashioned" chance? When we do end up on the wrong side of destiny we don't acknowledge it, or act as though it's for the "greater good". Some things do happen for a reason though. Remember when you "snuck out" late at night when you were a teen and were put on punishment? Yeah, that happened for a reason. Nothing happens by accident and, therefore, everything happens because of a reason. Think I'm wrong? You may say that you spilled coffee on yourself and that "happened by accident". No, it happened because you weren't paying attention.
Saying #5: "I'm only human."
Unlike who? Is there anything that you can be in addition to being human? What's everyone else's excuse? I think it'd be better to say, "I'm only an unconventional human being that is being melodramatic."
Saying #6: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
There's nothing killing me right now, so I should be getting stronger by the second, correct?
Saying #7: "God Bless America!"
Who came up with this slogan? People often wonder why other countries hate Americans. Most of us are fat, stupid, illiterate, hypocrites that walk around with a "holier than thou" air about ourselves.
Saying #8: "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all."
Really, how would you know? If you've loved and lost, you have no idea how it feels to have never loved at all, and if you've never loved at all, you have no idea how it feels to have had love and lost it.
Saying #9: "Accept people for who they are." & Saying #10: "Who cares what other people think?"
And you think *your* subjective thoughts are superior, why? Can you accept me for who I am -- that is, the person who is annoyed at your personality? Can you accept Adolf H. for who *he* is? If someone needs improvements, big or small, only an ignorant fool would ignore them; and if you're doing something that someone else doesn't like and the situation involves them, for the sake of their sanity, stop. |

lol The point is that you would like to change Adolf H. if you could, I may be going to extremes here, but I'm simply trying to provide an eye-opening example.
One debunks a saying by unearthing how it is faulty. |

| Your response to that god bless America quote is so true, even though it applies to like half of ROBLOX. I have to agree with you, though. I think it's even dumber when people try coming up with their own sayings. It's like they're begging for attention (they are), or they're trying to sound or look smart. |

| Abstractus, I discovered an inane pseudo-intellect who lacks the necessary intelligence to correctly interpret expressions. |

| Really? I discovered pseudo-analyzer who has no recognition of the inadequate expressions our society uses today, to falsely describe situations. |

| I share some views from this, but I found some of these things to be exaggerated. For example, #3:"Keep on trying." What I got out of that was "If you suck at something, stop." This is entirely wrong, sir. We all have to start somewhere, whether we suck or we are prodigies. |

| @xX: Yes, but you are statistically more likely to succeed at a natural gifting, which if you have, you should take advantage of. |

| -Rather than trying to succeed at something that is "out of your league". There are obviously exceptions, but I'd start there first. |
