Before I start on my long (but hopefully not too long) ramble about an upcoming game, let me introduce myself. I am MordFustangGT, CEO and Lead Developer for Iron Wolf Games. Our current game is Rising Dead, an open-world, post-apocalyptic survival game. I know you guys are all tired of zombie games, and you just want it to end, but my group and I have figured out there is more ground in this field to cover before we move on. Now, you've all played Apocalypse Rising, and at least seen some footage of DayZ. Despite the failure Deadzone was, all of them had a point: get a gun and kill people. At least, that's how most people think about it. I myself like it when I get that sense of realism, holding someone up, taking them hostage, and robbing them of all their gear. Some people, however, play those games like CoD, hiding like a wuss in a corner until some innocent bambi comes along and gets shot on sight by the FPS player. As long as I live, I will rival these people. They make me throw up a little every time they're mentioned.
Rising Dead will be all about strategy and survival. Taking multiple days in-game to find your first gun, and then fighting off the hordes of zombies. Games like Apocalypse Rising only have two or three zombies per town. I mean, let's be realistic, if there's three houses in a town that had (for example) 5 people per house, there would be fifteen zombies in that area. When it comes to player to player interaction, there will be some sort of humanity system, like a player kills another mercilessly and gets -20 humanity points added to their total. If a bandit has -2000 humanity, and a hero has 100 humanity, if the hero kills the bandit, the hero will then have 2100 humanity (at least, that's how I think it should work). Battles should be like the following:
"Two clans collide. The bandit clan splits up to strafe around the heroes on all sides. Half of the hero clan go to a high spot and snipe the opposing bandits. The other half stay down on the ground and act as infantry. While the bandits are busy taking care of the "hero bait", the sniper heroes take out the bandits one by one, with a killing headshot."
Hours in real life of looting and surviving, and in two seconds it could all end. That should teach people to be careful and not shoot on sight. In a real life apocalypse, it wouldn't be Battlefield 4. People would make hard decisions and be careful about who they choose to run with.
Thanks be to God (or whatever you say in your religion, I'm Christian), -MordFustangGT

| If you think of a better way to keep players from shooting on sight, yes. Otherwise, I think this is a good method. |

I think there should be rewards for humanity points
Because, since there's no point, it would be mostly ignored. |

| Seems really interesting, I didn't like most apoc games because of random people killing me. |

Maybe with Humanity Points, you can buy NPC guards? (NPC Guards spawn near or in houses, attacks zombies on sight, if you buy one you can make him follow you or wait at the spot. If another player hits you, then the NPC guard will try to kill it.) Just an idea.

| But if you have, let's say, Minus Fifty(50) Humanity points, you cannot buy a NPC guard. If you have Minus 100, then the NPC guard will try to kill you on sight. |

| You don't have to do with what I suggest, but it will be AWESOME if you can add The NPC Guard. |

| Quinn, that would be a sign of spawn killing and OPness. Also don't have humanity points. Its what ruined deadzone, having negative rep. Just because it was a way of somewhat giving people bad in game reputation |

| Oh, come on. Easily Mord can just make the spawning system a little differently. (Spawn in random areas around the map) Plus, the Guard will have ONLY a sword. |

if you actually played a very populated dayZ mod server, never tryed standalone, humanity points mean nothing, if you played dayZ mod you would actually see how many bandits there are, sure there is lots of friendlys most of them are people who literally just bought the game and got the mod, therefore they bumble around like fruits, anyways humanity points wont do anything, think outside the box.
deadzone never failed, it already was plagued with constant DC's and then it got copied, the copying was the nail in the coffin to deadzone.
wont mention any names but then there is the greedy 2nd half who only came back to his game to start updating it again and adding passes, was only for dev exchange obviously, but i mean whatever, just greedy because he who shall not be anmed, stop updating because they, AT the time, could not make money from being a indie dev on roblox...
on that note, if you take some inspiration from the dayZ sa the blood system it uses totally promotes being a friendly, atleast till after you complete the transfusion, or taking the sample.. :D |

I suggest getting a doctor if that happens.
