I just might lose my mind. All of these people who can rhyme "cat" and "hat" suddenly think that they're rappers. Then they go around "dissing" everyone and acting like they're big time.
Yet they can't flow, don't know what a measure is (in musical terms), have no idea what a rhyme scheme is, and rap about absolutely NOTHING.
Okay, rant over. |

| @Frozen, -_- I'm not ignoring them. I'm not even that big of a Tupac fan. It's just an example. |

Are you talking real life rappers or ro-rappers?
If it's the latter then all of them act like that. |

@Shony, both. All ro-rappers come out with these wannabe disses and try to act like they're a big shot. Many real rappers come out and act like they have a chip on their shoulder just to get noticed.
Both drive me nuts. I feel like if you have real talent and skill, there's no need to go about dissing everyone to get recognition. |

I agree with this smart OP. Nobody can rhyme and they all waste my time. It's annoying when people treat this like Twitter, awhile ago Sym a famous diss ro rapper posted she got her name changed in MT, not OT or RT or ATR, but here in MT! It's ridiculous. Rap died after Rage Against the Machine broke up.

Oh alright. Although I am a big fan of Hopsin, I gotta agree. If you're really talented, then calling out people more successful than you is unnecessary, cuz you should be able to rise above their level instead of trying to bring them down to yours. |

"Rap died after Rage Against the Machine broke up."
Was this supposed to be an attempt at a joke? |

Ok let me rephrase
"Good rap died after Rage Against the Machine broke up"
Happy? Or do you hate bands that try to get you to wake up? |

| No it's just they didn't play an important role in rap music and they're not even that good. |

| Rage Against the Machine wasn't generally a big part of rap music. I don't have a problem with them, I just don't put them on the same level of other rappers. |

I'd like to see you do better, besides they rapped about real issues and actually expressed themselves, which is the point of art. lol you must not know what music is.

You're right, they're above other rappers. |

"I'd like to see you do better"
Typical upset fan-boy response.
"besides they rapped about real issues and actually expressed themselves, which is the point of art."
Yet their "art" sounded terrible. Linkin Park was a better rap-core band and they're bad too. |

I'm just saying that RATM didn't run to Twitter to defend themselves every time they got called "anti american" or "pro terrorist" or some other insult. Also if they are so terrible, why don't you try rapping, playing guitar, bass and drums as well as they did or as well as some rock band you actually like. Unless you don't like rock because then your opinions don't matter. |

I could go all day talking about my real life music endeavors and genre preferences but it's still hard to take you seriously.
Moral of the story RATM splitting up had nothing to do with how bad rap turned out to be after the 90's. |
