I'll be on Skype and watching YouTube, and then my connection drops without any warning. That's the only way I can describe it: it just drops for no reason. It'll say my connection's limited, and then I switch to the other channel (my 5G one), and everything's fine again.
This happens every 2-3 hours. But when it's stable, I can get up to 4 MB/sec.
I'm running Windows 8.1 on my 2013 iMac 27". The internet still stays up when the connection drops (for example, I can still use the internet on my iPad or iPhone).
I've looked online, but there seems to be no solution to this problem. Maybe one of you guys have a fix to this.
Thanks. |

My internet isn't bad. Before I upgraded, it would slow down at some points (and even then, I think it dropped) on Windows 8.
I even had the same issue on my Windows 8 laptop, too.
I know it's not my connection. |

| Same thing for me. It says I'm connected to our internet and I check the router but it just happens every couple of hours. |

| Microsoft is always too ignorant and arrogant to fix these problems. They just blame the router and computer manufacturers. |

I've been experiencing the past few days this error, but it's been K for quite some time. (I'm WIN7)
Solution : Ram your router outside your window, come back after 3 days, clean it and turn it on.
^ok now srsly
keep your router off overnight, it should work.
It's usually your ISP messing with you, nothing with your computer. |

I believe you are too far from your server.
See, the term 'ping' is the line of connection that is generated by your ping to your router. Are you in a room where you're far away from your server? That might be the problem. |

| Yeah, you need to let your router cool down. You can't be on it 24/7. |
