Cause they post a answer to the thread and dont want comments on it anymore I guess. But they don't always do that

| Because on most threads that mods post on ATR usually gets locked. It's like they are saying "Okay lets stop posting here.". |

| Depends on the thread that the mod is answering. Locking is primarily used to prevent other people from bumping the already answered thread unnecessarily, which would cause spam. |

Depends on the context. They don't usually ban people in locked threads unless it's clear that the OP of the thread is trying to violate any rule. |
