What are your thoughts on the guy?
I personally say good riddance; his policies caused the deaths of tens of thousands, under him the Russian economy stagnated for years and it was only after he allowed a bit of capitalism back that the economy got better at all. Lenin was a brutal dictator famous for his Red Terror and War Communism. He did not, contrary to popular belief, even have support among the majority of the population; he only had support in the cities. When he allowed elections to the Constituent Assembly and he (the Bolsheviks) didn't get the majority of seats, he raged and shut down the CA to be replaced by his single-party dictatorship. He expanded the system of forced labor and Gulags in his new state and silenced all dissent. All in all he was a bad person.
Some good things about Lenin? He had a cool beard, he was a passionate speaker, he liked cats (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPdTBNKDam4) and he wasn't QUITE as bad as Stalin. That's about it.
So again, what are your thoughts on Lenin? |

| I don't say good riddance to anyone's death. I haven't went to the bar with him. I never knew him personally. He may have caused a bunch of trouble but I don't know him as a person so I don't want to judge him like this. |

Apparently Lenin owned a Rolls Royce, the ultimate symbol of capitalism and materialism. And yet he was thought he was an advocate of the common people. What a hypocrite.

You aren't even old enough to go in a bar.

| Flawless, it is a figurative language phrase. I don't literally go to bars, sorry. |

Well, first of all, I can tell your of legal adult age in whatever country you live in, because you would has been out, looking or job or going to college or something, instead of wasting your time on this here subforum. And secondly, I do not know the laws of your country.

In some countries people as young as 15 can go to a bar. And some countries don't have laws against anyone of any age to go to that bar. There are some adults though in the world that sit in their mom's basement everyday and they don't have jobs. Why are you being impolite suddenly? Sorry if I offended you!
In my language, there is a phrase: "to go to the bar with someone" or "to share a b33r with someone" and it in essence means "to get to know someone truly". |

How in the heavens you take my commentary for being impolite, is beyond me, m8.
If you mistook my original purpose of the comment, then I sincerely apologize.

He killed millions. Lets say he only killed a few hundred thousand. If you kill people, you deserve whatever disrespect that you receive. |

You disrespect your fellow countrymen, right? You wouldn't say they're "your people", right? Lenin felt the same way, only he was a bit more... violent about it. |
