My mum got me a bunch a music theory books and homework stuff, I can't wait to learn it.
Now, I have had numerous arguments with people saying music theory is useless. But as someone who wants to grow progressively in music and learn many instruments this is important to me right now and my life. I've noticed lots of people claim they have a "gift" in music, but if you're truly gifted at music you want to learn more.
Also, I do know notes and bars but I have no idea how to read music and that is what I want to know, and I want to know how to make up little tunes on the spot. |

If you're talking about me, I can play piano and use synthesizers and a bunch of electronic instruments well.

Make sure the actual school doesn't teach you theory though, get a professional outside of school. i learned it when I was 6 paying piano, so you could probably get a teacher for whatever instrument it is you want to play. Schools are to vague when teaching and don't allow you to get what you need to be really good.

I'm still saying you should get a professional to help you do it and learn it all. If you can't I suggest you look up some tutorial videos on youtube that are descriptive.

Music Theory is great. Might be confusing at times, but it makes music make so much more sense.
