what it ISNT: -socialized healthcare (like canada's) -inexpensive healthcare ("Affordable Healthcare Act" is a huge lie of a name) -more reliable/secure healthcare -more accesible healthcare -a replacement for health insurance -a bill that makes medical treatment cheaper
what it IS: -requires all U.S. citizens to buy healthcare from private corporations (like allstate or state farm) or otherwise be fined huge sums of money -creates a permanent customer base for all insurance companies, allowing them to inflate insurance prices as high as they want and get away with it -adds an "...or else" to the end of "buy health insurance" -allows the IRS to terrorize the poor when they cant pay the fees for not buying the health insurance which they couldnt afford in the first place -the government forcing you to buy insurance whether you want it or not
obamacare is a huge mess that neither democrats nor republicans seem to actually understand, because it is nothing at ALL like canada's healthcare system.
sure, it makes it illegal for insurance companies to deny people coverage, but they are free to rise up the cost of that coverage as much as they like.
it also includes bills that increase eligibility for medicare, further destroying the middle class who pay all the taxes. |

| Canada's healthcare seems far much better than the US healthcare. |

canada's healthcare drives up taxes that further eat away at the shrinking middle class, since only the poor and rich get tax cuts. |

| pretty sure obamacare doesn't affect life insurance and either way it would still make infinitely more sense to list actual health insurance companies as examples |
