to them at least. Why do I say this? Well, the Playstation 2, like the SNES, is a worthwhile successor to it's first counterpart, and also both are similar in that they totally dominated the market, yet were a bit underpowered, and also had a great library of games.
Really, a few years from now, 2014 kids are going to speak of the Playstation 2 in the same way, as late 90's/early 2000's kids spoke of the SNES, speaking of it as a legendary system, with great games, etc.
I'm only saying this because I notice that a lot of game enthusiasts that are my age or younger, seem to hold a certain reverence for the SNES.
Now, for the SNES, to 2014 kids, that's going to seem like caveman hardware, much like the Atari 2600 is viewed today by game enthusiasts. |

@rock
Well, yes, and rightfully so. I personally feel proud to have grown up during the PS1 and PS2 era. It was a time of great technological change. |

Nintendo Consoles always seem unpopular after the successor comes out.
Like Gamecube.
Gamecube is considered legendary now.
Right now, Wii is not really liked.
Give it about 5 years and everyone is going to talk about how legendary Wii was. |

| Playstation 2 was INFAMOUS for shovelware, in addition to great exclusives. I'll be the first to say that I played a ton of shovelware on that console. |

On the PS2 I used to play a game called Medal of Honour with my brother. Good times :)
I use to have the PS2 and something called the PS2: Mini. They were both really cool. Sadly they both broke but we got £150 out of a guy. It was so funny xD
Anyway, there was no need for me to tell you that ;_;

"So was the PS3"
Yes, but not to the extent that the Playstation 2 was. The Playstation 3 is a lot pricier to develop for due to it's complex architecture. |

Instead of them pronouncing it like "PEE-ES-TOO" they will say it like "PI-ZZ-TOE" just like how people called the SNES the "snuh-ez" |
