They don't eat meat because it was once alive and now it's dead. But they eat plants which were once alive and are then dead.
Both plants and animals feel pain, die, and are alive. So why choose to feel bad for one over the other? If they're worried about hurting something, then they can starve to death. It's part of the circle of life, eat other alive stuff so you can live. Seriously like vegans why

Any living thing feels pain Pain is basicly just a way of our bodies telling us when something goes wrong in our body, like getting a cut or something It works that way for all living things |

@Joife
It is a simple moral belief. There's nothing wrong with it, you should not attack their beliefs. However, if THEY attack YOUR beliefs, then you can socially defend yourself. but otherwise, humans are humans. We can't help it.
@People who think animals are killed horribly
I raise cows for the market, to be turned into food. My family as a business does the dirty work. We put the cows to sleep, THEN we calmly use a blade on the throat. The animal takes a nap, and feels no pain. We are as human as we can possibly be, and we do not let a single part of the animal go to waste. The videos you see of horrible animal slaughter is not all animals in general being killed in those terrible ways, it is merely the inhumanity of the man who chooses how to prepare the food. |

@Night
Do animals get poisoned with pesticides and, ground up while still alive, get genetically altered to the point they're no longer the same species, and then buried in the ground after ALL of that?
Wheat does. |

| Yes. part of it. Fed chemicals to enhance growing and all that crap. Some types of cow stand in the same place by force for most of their lives. |

That chemical you're referring to isn't a chemical. It's an herb produced by wheat called "Wheat Germ."
It's good for you, I suggest you buy a package of it and put it in your food. They take it out of our diets and give it ALL to the animals so they grow faster. For us, it makes your growth healthier and smoother. (By means of stunts and spurts.)
