Background information: Two idiots on RevLeft (a liberal website) were arguing on whether Che Guevera was a "bourgeois imperialist" because the OP probably just found out Che was a racist mass-murderer and he didn't want Marxism's reputation to get tarnished, so he denied Che being socialist at all.
Anyway, the stupidity; bolded some parts for emphasis.

What could lead people to believe Che wasn't a Marxist or Socialist and was a bourgeoisie?
> Posted by Kim Jong Illmatic The Cuban revolution culminated in the nationalization of the Cuban economy, not the socialization. In Marxist theory those are two different things. Nationalization is not socialism. The many reforms brought about by the Castro government that have GREATLY IMPROVED the standard of living in the country DO NOT AMOUNT TO SOCIALISM. Cuba is a BOURGEOIS nation state with a HIGH STANDARD OF LIVING.

In case you are a liberal wondering why this sounds so stupid; I'll fill you in. The socialist Cuban government has made Cuba one of the worst and poorest countries in the world; the standard of living is horrible. Bourgeois is a Marxist term for those who own the means of production, i.e. capitalists, which is extremely bizarre to hear applied to Cuba, where private property and free trade are strictly off limits. |

@Spade
They have a tiny little section for "opposing ideologies" but people with different views can't post anywhere else on the forum, correct. Also, a good chunk of "debate" on Revleft is just people calling each other "reactionaries," which is like the most offensive swear word according to communists. They even call other communists reactionaries. Communists are so very close-minded. XD |
