If you had Windows 8, a few months ago, you got an optional update to update to Windows 8.1. If you did, you completely ruined your PC. As of 2014, Microsoft has decided that anyone with the Windows 8.1 update will have to pay for it.
So your options are either: 1. Pay for Windows 8.1 2. Or reformat your entire computer and reinstall your original copy of Windows 8 |

| No because as an OEM running Win 8 Ent. I don't get the option to update because I don't have have the right crap in my MSDN package or whatever. |

@Jex You need to install all important updates. It should either appear in windows update or the windows store.

"less lag" updates ≠ lag Unless you are using a small harddrive low budget 5 year old netbook, important updates should actually boost security,stability, and, sometimes, make the computer faster. The silly willy who posted this isn't telling the truth. 8.1 is free and always will. Actually, 8.1 is smaller and better than 8, so I recommend getting it.
