First of all, this is not a troll, there are many studies that show that violent games make people violent. I can't link any but google can give you many.
Second of all, while they do not "teach" kids how to use guns, it influences their thinking. It makes them desire to shoot people, making them wanting to join the military. This could be problematic. Of course this is very unrealistic.
Third of all, Kids should be innocent. When we let our children play games like these, it kind of ruins their childlike nature. We need to preserve the nature and innosence of children.
Please leave a response whether or not you agree or disagree. |

no
violent games simply desenstize people to violence. it doesnt make people violent. (unless you're talking about insane/physopaths who could become violent) |

@TheReal
you cant really prove that video games make people killers or not
you can only prove that a video game might have had some influence on making a certain person a killer |

Most people will not commit a crime. A ton of people play gta every day, they're not out killing anybody except a few. If a video game makes you kill people you were already screwed up sorry. |

@flat
But does it influence violent behavior? I recall seeing a document where small children were exposed to violent films, and afterwards they abused some poor teddy bear, repeating what they saw.
Another significant question is if the child's mind is traumatised or scared from extreme violence in videogames, yet again, personal experience doesnt count. |

Look I support this but, some parents these days don't care what their child plays or watches.
Besides believe or not the screen time for 1 whole day is 2 hours.

"I don't see why that's a stupid idea." I consider "preserving childhood innocence" a lost cause. All you're doing is preventing a child from seeing harsh evils and vices of the world until they're arbitrarily "old enough", which I find quite inane. I fail to see how not teaching a kid about, say, gun violence is in any way beneficial. You're only prolonging the inevitable and plus, if they learn about it and the true sense of it at a young age, they'll be better equipped to understand and handle real world situations than if they're sheltered and told later. |
