it's self shame caused by something traumatic or embarrassing that happened while you were a kid around people your brain doesn't want you to repeat that and feel embarrased or threatened again so you go to great lengths to avoid social interaction |

| Anxiety is not want to do something because you fear it. Social anxiety is not doing any social interacting because you fear it. |

@paylar they don't fear socializing, they fear failing at it and embarrassing themselves like what caused them to feel that way in the first place |
