Hooray! You've been elected to be a leader of a country on a foreign planet.

Humanity has finally expanded and has decided to settle on a distant planet with similar traits to planet Earth.

Your ship, by default, was sent with six turbines, building materials, seeds and farming supplies and rifles in case your small army comes across hostile wildlife.

Rules

Natural disasters will occur and it's your objective to help those that come under threat.

Portal frames will pump resources through when there is no clouds when they're requested from your sponsor country on Earth.

Wars are won by crippling the enemies defences and destroying their army.

Alliances may be formed.

Treaties may be signed.

Empires may start.

I will control NPCs, natural disasters and decide where your country starts, depending on the size.

You will receive a monthly report.

1-1 - Country economy.

To manage your country, you must depend on credits. They come from your sponsor countries on earth, through shops and allies. Having special operation teams loot rogue ships in space and outposts on asteroids will also give you a handful of credits.

To increase your credit flow, you must extend a hand to your allies and have them give you an area of their country to gain some extra credits from your allies citizens.

You can also use the market and merchant ships out in space too.



1-2 - Military development.

Don't panic about this one!

Your sponsor countries will send you firearms for your soldiers to save you time.

You however, must focus on balancing resources between your civilians and soldiers.

You also need to build bigger guns.



1-3 - Citizen trust.

If you're citizens don't trust or like you, they will rebel.

You must care for them as you care for your family, or scare them so much they will never disagree.

You will spend every 10 citizens consumes 100 food every month. If they don't get fed, they will begin to complain. It's the same if they don't have money or a house.

Keep looking after them, and they will stay quiet and happy.



1-4 - Food management

Food is essential or your population will drop. It's time to prepare the farms!

Each farm will produce enough food for 20 citizens, that's 200 food.



1-5 - Natural disasters

Emergency response teams will be dispatched to assist civilians and evacuate them in the hint of danger. It's expensive and it's going to be hard to recover from disasters.



1-6 Taxes

You set a tax everybody has to pay every month, that going up to 100 credits.

Your turbines are prepared along with the homes of the population.

Food is sent wide, a small portion of land is prepared for farming and a group of scouts is sent to search the area.

The army prepares a base.

OH - I forgot to point out that you will gain double the amount of money of your population, so you'll end up with 5 million credits every month from taxes.

Colony Size: Medium

Starting Location: A large U shaped area at a beach with a forest wrapping around the colony.

Leader's Name: Jordan Grey

Appearance: The colony is protected by a thick steel wall, anti air guns on top of the wall and ground guns outside of the wall.

The interior is defended by automated sentries.

Io is a colony with open arms to trading with others.

Io is sponsored by Australia.

They pick up a lot of attention from civilians. Children seem to be surprised to see your soldiers.

They understand when they see the door to Jordan Grey's palace. The guards are wearing blue and white armour and a white helmet that bends upwards at the back. They carry staffs with them.

Your marines are able to talk to Jordan Grey. He agrees to trade.

Militarising a colony will lower civilian trust. Here's a civilian report.

HAPPINESS: 78%

FED WELL: 98%

POVERTY: 3%

CRIMES: 2%

TRUST: 98% - [Will lower by 10% when you militarise a colony.]

To increase happiness, you should make sure that over 90% of the population is fed well. Decreasing poverty and crime will also help.

Trust is decreased by hostile moves or bad laws that have been made for the country.

Trust is increased by making good decisions and making friends.

Crimes are decreased by setting up a law enforcement agency, perhaps managed by the military.

Poverty is increased by lowering the tax. It is currently set to 100 cR per person. Setting the tax to below 50 will slowly increase happiness every week.

An increase in farms will make sure people are fed well. However, when a disaster strikes and wipes out the farm, happiness and amount of fed well people will hit rock bottom.
