| In VGF, I've seen a lot of you labeling CoD as the stereotypical FPS for casuals who don't know what a quality game is. While this is partially true, I disagree with it (personally). I'm not saying I'd rather play Call of Duty than anything else, but I personally don't agree that the entire community is just a bunch of 4 year old MLG tryhard trickshotters. I understand if you hate CoD, but that doesn't mean you have any logical right to label your opinion as fact. Because most of the people in VGF are "true gamers" (I am one), it's a wide belief that the games are repetitive. I agree with this in a casual sense, but I find Black Ops 2 to be a lot of fun when I'm either playing with my friends or doing League Play. The franchise isn't perfect, though. It shouldn't have a new title released every year. It gives players no choice but to accomplish achievements and then completely drop them and play the next game when it comes out (unless they don't get the new game). Now, I'm not a huge fan of CoD, but I really feel as though it's a victim of this elitist stereotype. Go ahead and voice your differing opinions, but I won't take them as facts. |

| I like cod, but only the first three games for PS2, they actually had realism. I just wish they built more on that instead of milking this cinematic movie people call realistic. |

ok so basically it's not the fan base IMO (come on, there is not a single game with a 8-13 year old) it's the fact that it's so repetitive that it gets boring. sure the MW may be OK but the rest... |

| Imagine "Call of Duty: Patriots", you get to play specific battles of the American Revolution(with a character who narrates), the raid on the Tsar, so many things to do, none have been done. |

@Aoi
That would be interesting, but there were a small selection of weapons used during the revolutionary war. |

| As I have said many times: I mostly like the Call of Duty games. The only two I don't like is United Offensive and Black Ops 2 |

| Exactly, the call to duty isn't about how much weapons you have, you do with what you have, that's war. You do what you can with what you got. |

| That would improve the campaign, but it would leave the competitive side of Call of Duty in the dust. |

| It would be an actual war simulator which they aimed for and not some war fantasy anarchist want to see. |

@master
that's because they make the most money off of multiplayer. they have the biggest competitive community of any FPS |

"they focus more on the multiplayer more than the single player campaign." how in god's name is this bad most gamers focus on multiplayer even then the campaign can be interesting by breaking it and exploring you can even kill menendez early on |

Weapons that could of been there already.
Like new maps actually do anything, you have your generic airport, a rundown town, a city, and a desert(never forget the desert) and magnifico you have an FPS map.
Like the campaigns are any good, they're all action flick rip-offs, the original three let you play an unknown soldier's story, not like it's any better than a super silent protaganist.
Actually, when you think about it, EVERY game does this.. |
