it is the freakin' worst, man.
especially when you're in a dream, and you kind of know it's coming, because you'll feel a sudden churning in your stomach and a haunting silence, and you'll be like "oh god, no, NOOOOOOOO" And then, FREAKIN' BANG. |

What happens with me is right as I am about to fall asleep all my limbs shoot out in different directions and I jolt awake while randomly swatting at things.
And I usually accidentally freak my cat out who has already fallen asleep curled up so comfortably beside me.
