All because of a stupid number, that doesn't even reflect your natural intelligence, it instead reflects your ability to memorize subjects.
That number apparently chooses whether or not you can go into a college and get your dream job. What about intelligent people that are very studied in a specific subject related to their job, that get low grades? lol no job for you unless you get that number up, because you stupid |

"yes but it's their fault for not deciding to practice and memorize"
What if they do? They have more important things going on that is affecting their schedule? I guess that doesn't matter because that's *totally* impossible. |

If you're talented enough at something, you can figure out how to make a job out of it without a complete education.
At least, that's my intake on it.
If somebody's amazing at science, for example, they can become a scientist without going to college and just use items found around the house to experiment and invent...
...I mean, most of science is imagination, some is knowledge, and the rest is being able to make use of what you have... |

You know, 85% of people that fail classes either don't try, or don't care.
If you try and care for your subjects in school, you'll be more likely to succeed. |

| I somewhat agree and disagree. I've pondered about how awful my transcript will be and whether or not I should just commit you-know-what rather than follow in my parents' footsteps. Even said pondering has distracted me from my current schoolwork. |

if you are studying a lot and ur already naturally intelligent (which i know you are), then why are u getting bad grades? it doesnt make sense
the problem is that most people simply dont go the extra mile to do great in school. |

Exactly, which is why you should be able to get an education and get your dream job without any restrictions, if you have the ability and you know it, you should be allowed to pursue that subject |

I can't say on OT. Might get accused of seeking attention. |

what's more important than school? nothing
school should be your main priority, not other things |

Well, if I were in a situation where I had poor, almost failing grades and needed to get into a good college, I'd prove my scientific knowledge in some way...
I wouldn't sit there bawling my eyes out about my grades that I'd be unable to change, I'd take action. |

"school should be your main priority, not other things"
if someone's having trouble with their family that may become their top priority |

| Sometimes I wonder if counselors have any actual beliefs that you're/I'm bright and intelligent but unmotivated or if they're just being modest about how stupid they think you/I are/am. |

I understand that's tough, but my situation is a little more complicated. |

what if they're broke and need to work & invest all their time making money for their parents
my dad is a professor and one of his students dropped out because he needed to work in his family's business, if that has anything to do with this |
