Seeing all of these school cancellations because of snow and cold is just pathetic. You have snowplows and heaters for a reason. Use them.

Yeah Sens, then obviously you don't understand, or have never driven a car in the snow.
There is ice on the roads, which is actually pretty severe. Plus it's REALLY easy to spin out, making it not safe for Buses, or just normal cars.
I drove in the weather today and yesterday and let me tell you, when people say roads are bad they aren't kidding. It's like a big slip n' slide. |

The only reason we have snowdays is for slippery roads, and even then the schools are still open. It's just bus cancellations.

well Advanced it's made my week amazing, because I've been able to enjoy myself with things I like to do instead of going to school and getting a work load.

| when we get icy roads, we use something called salt to make it not seem icy for driving |

The roads here are crap as well, we still went to school.
and my point is that schools shouldn't be fully cancelled because of snow unless it's too much for the snowplows in the city.

Salt is common here too.
It really helps, and plow trucks drop them.
But in the cold and snow, it can't make the ice go away.
For it to completely go away the salt load would have to be high.
ALOT OF SALT |

Sen, 2 feet of snow is pretty tough on the city.
Most back roads have turned into one lane roads so cars can't even pass each other.
This storm was CRAY.
one of the biggest in my lifetime |

| the salt just makes it less slippery, and unless you live in a huge city, its easy to get it on the roads |

I don't live in a HUGE city by any means but it's pretty decently sized.
30,000 in the City and a lot more in the county |
